SPORT FACILITIES MANAGEMENT (SPS 234)

HISTORY SMK TATAR 1 Dis 1979 – The first session for SMK TATAR which was known as SMK Tok Jalai which was sharing with SK Kepala Batas building, the first staff consist of teachers and a clerk. 1883 - The building project for the school was done by ready made on 23 hectars site. It is located at the corner of Jitra-Alor Setar road and Pelubang. The project’s characteristic consist of:

i. three blocks double storey building(classroom and office)ii. a canteen blockiii. a building for Kemahiran Hidup’s classroom.

The cost of the project was estimated for RM3.5 million

1989 – SMK Tok Jalai was changed to SMK Tunku Anum Tunku Abdul Rahman under the recognition from KDYMM Sultan Kedah Darul Aman and sharing with SMK Tanjung Pauh until 1993. The Hostels started to built unofficially and was homed by 18 students.

1995 – A talent program was held by the NSC and 9 athlete, a coach from RUSSIA and a local coach was located at this school.

21 Jul 2006 – SMKTATAR was officially established as the State Sport School.

Overall conclusion: There are many facilities but mostly focused towards the new facilities and just let the old facilities unused and never repair.

Mostly of the sport facility in this school have been renovate and it make me and my friends comfortable to training in the liking a new places.”

4. Wan Nor Alia Naili bt. Wan Azmi ,16,- “ I satisfied with all the sport facilities in this school. The sport facilities are organized well by teachers especially Cikgu Shuib as the main sport administer and teacher.”

5. Nor Hidayah bt. Abd Rahman ,14,- “ The equipment of the sport facilities in this school are comprehensive. I give full satisfaction to the teachers who are manage the equipment very well. As a consumer, I give 4 star for the equipment in the sport facilities in this school.”

• In my opinion, this school has provide a nice environment to the athlete. The athlete will be comfortable with the equipment that has been provided. (by : amin)
