THE EVENTThe Yuleba Marathon and Fun Run will be held in western Queensland on Saturday April 8th 2017.

Exciting race day events at Yuleba include a Marathon, half Marathon and 10km, 5km and 3km runs and walks.

This is the fourth year for the annual major fundraiser for Help Kids Like Nick charity. Money raised will help to provide much needed assistance to families around Australia affected by the rare chromosome disorder Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome (WHS). Thanks to the dedicated effort from volunteers, sponsors and entrants, over $150,000 has been raised from these events so far.

Approximately 500 competitors to run, walk and talk the course, with a large support team. The tiny town of Yuleba, east of Roma, expands for a weekend of fun, laughter and good times. Many families camp at the grounds to enjoy the festivities.

You’re invited to be part of our 4th annual Fun Run event by agreeing to become one of the corporate sponsors. Your partnership will help strengthen your company’s community objectives and awareness. This in turn will help to create a strong fundraising presence to help deliver on the complex needs of children and adults with WHS.

ABOUT HELP KIDS LIKE NICK

Help Kids like Nick’s mission is to

provide an enhanced quality of life for

those diagnosed with Wolf Hirschhorn

Syndrome and their immediate family.

This includes raising awareness and

educating people about this disability.

HOW WE HAVE HELPED

Since inception only four years ago, Help Kids

Like Nick (HKLN) have been able to directly

pass on the rewards of fundraising to twenty

families across Australia.

Here are some examples of where the

money goes:

Caitlin (Age 19)

Funding for an Intensive Feeding Program and assistance with flights and accommodation from Darwin to Adelaide. This feeding program has helped to give Caitlin some independence with the long term goal of removing her feeding PEG.

Charlotte (Age 6)

Funding for Assessment of Neuro-developmental Program and assistance with flights from Darwin to Adelaide. This program has enabled Charlotte to become more independent and has helped her reach milestones previously thought she could not reach.

Sophia (Age 4)

Funding has assisted with respite care to help Sophia’s mother whilst her father visited family overseas.

Elliot (Age 10)

Funding assisted with vehicle modifications for family motor car.

Nick (Age 21)

Funding assisted with the purchase of Eye Gaze Computer and software. This has helped Nick to communicate with those around him and give him a voice.

HKLN also helped with assistance with travel funding for 16 families to attend the 2015 AWHSSG (Australian Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome Support Group) Conference in Boonah QLD. This conference is held every two years and is a big commitment and effort for families to attend due to the extra costs involved in travelling. It is an extremely important event for families to attend for the support through meeting other families from Australia and New Zealand.

Your participation in the Fun Run enables HKLN to make money from the event which can then be shared with these worthy and appreciative recipients.

It really does make a difference in their lives, accessing services and equipment which is only available at high cost and may be otherwise unaffordable.

In choosing to be the Gold Sponsor, you will receive exclusive presentation rights to the Fun Run:

“Yuleba Marathon & Fun Run proudly presented by…” and your brand logo will be positioned as the prominent sponsor of the Fun Run.

There is only one Gold Sponsor available, on a first in first served basis.

Your sponsorship benefits include:

• Exclusive presentation rights – “The Yuleba Marathon & Fun Run 2017 proudly presented by…”. This wording will appear where the name of the event appears. Where practical, your logo will be incorporated.

• Primary placement of name and logo on race registration form.

• Primary placement of company logo on official event poster.

• Recognition in any media releases pre and post event where possible.

• Social media presence.

• Primary placement of company logo on race banner.

• Primary placement of company logo on official race T-shirt and official race running cap.

Sponsors to cover the costs of entertainment, first aid supplies, catering and site specific hired items like generators and a marquee.

BRONZE SPONSOR: $1,000

Naming rights available for the following events:

• Full Marathon ($5,000)

• Half Marathon ($5,000)

• 3km Roll & Stroll ($5,000)

First in, best dressed for choice of which event you choose to sponsor. Your brand will be positioned as the exclusive sponsor of the event.

Goods are required for the multi-draw raffle with a suggested value of between $100 and $1,000.

The Yuleba fun run weekend, simply put, is a fantastic demonstration of Australia’s national heart. Ignoring the fact that it is a great event to sponsor for the commercial returns it delivers, it is just a great time that showcases the great culture the bush brings. The event and the management thereof not only deliver a good time (A GOOD TIME), more importantly they clearly display the Australian phenomenon that occurs when a call to arms to support someone in need is made.
