annual CSCE Canadian National
Concrete Canoe Competition
(CNCCC), hosted by École de
Technologie Supérieure in Montréal.
Membership in UTCC consists
entirely of undergraduate students at
the University of Toronto,
encompassing all engineering
disciplines and the Faculty of Arts
and Science.

The University of Toronto Concrete Canoe Team is comprised
of an interdisciplinary group of undergraduate students with the
goal of designing a sustainable and innovative canoe made out
of concrete. The national competition includes the development
of a formal technical report, an oral presentation and several
races. The team finished 4th overall in 2012 and has
consistently placed first among the teams in Ontario.
The entire project is a massive undertaking and requires
concrete research, material testing, hull design, paddling
training, teamwork and project management. The team takes
pride in the development of students to make better engineers
for the future.
