Each week Ric visits several schools within the Palm Beach County school district. He does in depth features and interviews with students, coaches, administrators, volunteers to showcase the best that is offered by these schools and their programs. The main focus is how these students are Good Sports, not only on the fields and courts but also in the classroom. The program airs daily on The Education Network (Comcast 234, ATT UVerse 99) at 1230p and 730p. Each week a new show is posted on the District Homepage/VODcast video Dock and on air. A banner on the district home page drives viewers to the shows, as well as Facebook and media alerts about the new show. Viewership continues to grow, with last year finishing with an average over 3000 online views per show and on air reaching over 500,000 viewers. Students, teachers, coaches, parents, administrators, clubs all support viewership. The Education Networks Anchor/Producer, Claudia Shea, develops scripts and oversees the production each week, mentoring and featuring students in the roles of television anchors and reporters. She also recruits schools to provide video reports of current and special events at their school to be featured on the show. Showcasing the positive news around the District that is delivered by our own students that are positively impacted or recognized makes this show exciting to watch! It not only draws viewers from our many multicultural students and families, but also many Palm Beach County residents. Help support this great show and help us grow! Palm Beach Countys largest employer is reaching more than 183,000 students and nearly 21,000 associates. $2,500 per program: These are multi part programs that typically run 1 hour each, with at least 3 programs in each series. Benefits: </p><p> Recognition on open and close of each program as presenting series sponsor Sponsor recognition within program with full screen graphic between segments Prominent recognition featuring logo on lower third graphics Leader board graphics included on applicable shows Sponsor recognition on District banner promoting show(s) Recognition as corporate supporter on The Education Network website Inclusion in all Education Network press releases as a corporate supporter Recognition in on air promotional spots for show(s) </p><p> Information about shows: Tropical Holiday Music: This is a series of (3) 30 minute programs that feature 7 Palm Beach County school choirs, bands or orchestra students performing classic holiday musical sets. These shows run every day on The Education Network from the week of Thanksgiving through the first week of the New Year. The Academic Challenge: This is an annual event taped in January that features more than a dozen schools with teams of students competing for district honors and qualifying to compete at the state level. Last year, one student made it to the national level, and won the category. These shows consists of (3) Preliminary round shows and (1) District Final show. It is a quiz show, and host Ric Blackwell reports updates after each round. Each show features 3 rounds. These students are typically looking for sponsorship to help cover cost to attend the state finals. Palm Beach County students typically score high at competitions. The Battle of the Books Competition: These shows feature final round coverage of elementary, middle and high school students. The winners receive a trophy and all receive a medal for participating. Palm Beach County has a lot of talented readers, and it takes a lot of reading to prepare for this annual event. Claudia Shea is host and moderator of this yearly event that is covered in (3) shows. </p></li></ul>
