Welcome Message
It is my great pleasure to announce that the Taiwan Nurses Association (TWNA) will host the “2020 Taiwan International Nursing Conference Endorsed by the International Council of Nurses (ICN)” on September 9-12, 2020. The theme of this conference, The Vital Roles of Nurses in Global Health, reflects the important and, oftentimes, leading roles that nurses take within healthcare systems to address global health challenges as well as recognizes the critical role that nurses will surely play in achieving the ultimate objective of Health for All.
TWNA has held its Nursing Research Conference annually since 1983 and the Asia-Pacific Nursing Research Conference triennially since 2014 as part of ongoing efforts to improve nurses’ research competencies and to facilitate networking amongst nursing communities nationally, regionally, and globally.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated 2020 as the “International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife” in order to showcase the extraordinary and innovative role of nurses in making health services increasingly patient centered and to honor the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ms. Florence Nightingale. Also in 2020, nursing organizations around the world will be celebrating the achievements of the Nursing Now Campaign. Thus, in order to recognize the special significance of 2020 to the nursing profession, TWNA took the decision to scale up its conference for 2020.
We are very grateful that 2020 Taiwan International Nursing Conference has been endorsed by the ICN, a federation of more than 130 National Nurses Associations (NNAs) representing more than 20 million nurses worldwide. It is also a great honor that high-profile nursing experts, scholars, and leaders from across the globe will be sharing their views and expertise during the plenary keynotes, main, and panel sessions of the conference. Furthermore, the Conference Scientific Committee will select over 700 of the best symposia, oral, and poster submissions on key health and nursing issues for presentation during the 3-day conference. 2. Lunch Symposium Sponsorship Entitlement:
(1) Lunch symposium sponsorship includes rental of venue, standard audio-visual equipment (a projector, 2 microphones and a laptop).
(2) 5 badges per session with company name only for company staffs to access Lunch Symposium. The badge allows access to its own Lunch Symposium and shall be used by company staffs only.
(3) Lunch symposium details will be included in the Final Program. (4) Lunch symposium sponsor logo will be shown on conference program book and conference
website. (5) A free sponsored Lunch Symposium invitation will be inserted in the conference bag. The
design and printing of the invitation needs to be responsible by sponsor. (6) Certificate of Appreciation (7) 2 Invitations to Welcome Reception
Notice: (1) The onsite decoration and lunch boxes for the participants will be extra order and purchase
by the sponsors which the number of meal boxes will be decided by the Conference. Because the conference venue is in TICC, the lunch boxes must order from TICC Cosmos Hotel Taipei.
(2) In addition to the support fees, the company must cover all speakers/moderators expenses including registration, accommodation and travel costs.
Arrangements: (1) Package supporters have the priority right to choose timeslot. The sponsoring company can
request a specific timeslot and session room with their application and payment. The Program Committee reserves the right to re-allocate the session to ensure balance and continuity with the main program.
(2) Agenda of Symposium is subject to the approval from the TWINC 2020 Organizing Committee.
