Message from Directors and Staff
We asked, you responded, we listened!
We asked, and the membership of the EOCP voted overwhelmingly in favour of a tradeshow and conference designed by Operators, for Operators. The EOCP’s first-ever biennial tradeshow and conference takes place in Vancouver from the 9th to the 11th of September 2018 at the beautiful Marriott Pinnacle Hotel in downtown Vancouver. This conference will attract Operators who work as Operators, Supervisors, and Managers in the water and wastewater industry across British Columbia and Yukon. There will be 300 attendees, and 57 exhibitors at this landmark event providing you with the opportunity to promote your product and/or service directly to your target audience. With the theme ‘ENQUIRE-LEARN-APPLY’, the program is jam packed with one and a half days of tradeshow, overlapping with two full days of training, culminating with an optional third day to catch up on exams. Attendees will walk away with knowledge, networking, and newly acquired skills, plus CEUs that are totally relevant to the profession.Leverage your business presence and brand image among 300 influential water and wastewater professionals at this event designed specifically for Operators in BC and YK. We look forward to your participation in this landmark event as a founding participant – 2018 is just the beginning, and this event will be back in 2020!

conference highlights
A WELL OF LIES |an in-depth look at the Walkerton water tragedyColin Perkel is the author of ‘Well of Lies’, an in-depth look at the Walkerton water tragedy, where over a period of a week in May 2000, hundreds of people in Walkerton were afflicted by a deadly strain of E.coli bacteria. Colin has been a senior journalist with Canada’s national news agency, The Canadian Press. Eighteen years later, the lessons learned from the Walkerton tragedy are still relevant today - regulations, training, certification, water treatment, and monitoring, to name a few.
Designed by Operators, for Operators.
This event will provide learning opportunities for water and wastewater sector professionals on innovative solutions and new insights to foster the prudent management of water and wastewater in British Columbia and Yukon.
