With this proposal letter, the Boston University Questrom School of Business MBA Marketing Club is pleased to invite you to be one of the sponsors for our upcoming flagship event, Marketing in Context: Storytelling. Our Mission

The MBA Marketing Club is dedicated to promoting the discipline of marketing and assisting its members with the transition from academia to the marketing profession. The club organizes a series of guest speaker sessions, panels, workshops, networking opportunities, company treks, job search programs and the annual marketing conference to give marketing students greater insight into the profession.

Our Objectives

The club is a rich and supportive community of prospective marketing managers. Our objectives: •  Become the functional go-to for marketing

events for all participating MBA students in Boston University, Questrom School of Business.

•  Continue collaborative relationship with other higher education institutions within the Greater Boston area.

•  Extend the current network within the marketing community in Boston.

•  Bring marketing professionals to campus as guest speakers / panelists.

•  Foster more marketing employment opportunities.

Flagship Event 2016 Conference Marketing in Context: Storytelling

Marketing in Context is the flagship event of the Questrom School of Business Marketing Club. The goal of Marketing in Context is to create a meaningful and relevant conversations around current issues facing the field. Each year, the club aims to bring together panelists working on the cutting edge of marketing with top MBAs from the Boston area. As a partner of Marketing in Context, our sponsors gain access to thousands of top students in addition to aligning their brand with the values of the conference, club, and Questrom School of Business.

Other Events

In addition to Marketing in Context, the Marketing Club runs events throughout the year for both its membership with the Questrom School of Business and the larger Boston MBA community. These events are exciting opportunities for club partners to engage with top talent both within Questrom and throughout Boston

Internship Panel Each fall, second year students who held marketing internships during the previous summer offer advice and insight to first year students pursuing a career in marketing.

Club Fair Each fall, the Questrom Marketing Club participates in the annual Club Fair for all Questrom graduate students. Here, the club recruits new members and promotes its events to the larger student body.

Other Events Company Treks The Questrom Marketing Club organizes company treks for Questrom students to gain exposure to area companies, both for recruiting and networking purposes as well as to learn more about the real-world challenges and initiatives taking place at local companies. (Pictured left: Hubspot Company Trek)

Marketing Club Mixer Organized by the Questrom Marketing Club, MBAs from around the Boston area gathered for a networking event. This event was the first of its kind to bring the marketing clubs from area schools together.

Planned for 2016: •  Nielsen Workshop: a 2-hour workshop to familiarize club members

with the Nielsen database interface •  Powerpoint Excellence Workshop: a 2-hour workshop to prepare

first years for successful internship presentations; open to all who want tips for strong deck building

•  General Assembly Workshop: “Understanding Funnels and Analytics”: a 1.5 hour workshop that covers what data to collect and how to analyze it in a meaningful way
