It is now more than 45 years and thanks to the strong innovative spirit of its founder, Manuel Gil Cengotita, since MYL began its existence in workshops of just 200 m2 in Elgoibar, with the design, manufacture and repair of machine tool spindles.

Today, managed by the second family generation in our 1.500 m2 facilities in Mendaro and with a much more structured organisation, we focus our efforts on innovation, management of knowledge and inter-business collaboration, thus meeting the needs of a much more competitive and

international market. A philosophy that is strengthened by the creation of work teams that, with their experience and strong innovative character, foster new and improved technological advances that allow us to take on the demanding projects of the future.

Historically, the Basque Country has been an example of overcoming and effort that, combined with its geographical

location, the force of the Cantabrian sea, the power and life of its woods, have forged a noble, honest, strong and fighting spirit in its people that is maintained over the generations, demonstrating the loyalty of the Basques to culture and tradition as a bases for its own unbreakable spirit.

Formed of vast plains and mountain ranges and surrounded by the power of the Cantabrian Sea, nature forms an undeniable part of a landscape that every year attracts visitors from around the world.

A country of great natural wealth that res-pects and protects the creation of green and landscaped spaces that has earned one of its capitals the title of Green Capital Europea 2012.

Place of birth of renowned artists, architects and musicians, the Basque Country welcomes international performers at first-rate festivals.

“Land of Basque”. The past and history of Eus-kal Herria (the Basque Country) has accom-panied us generation after generation, forging working people of strong innovative spirit who are proud of their roots.

Its excellent geographi-cal location on both sides of the Pyrenees and near the sea and Spanish and French te-rritory has led to unique communication by air, sea and road transport.

An incomparable setting where MYL made its bases, most specifically in Elgoibar which, as it is near the river, the sea and surrounded by nature, was a very important geographical point for economic and industrial activities. The cradle of the Machine Tool in Spain.

Over the years, MYL has had to extend its headquarters and move its business to Mendaro, while maintaining the feeling and strong industrial tradition that, for more than a century, has made us the machine-tool manufacturing centre, with exemplary export performance that has established the Basque Country internationally.

The experience accumulated over more than 45 years of existence has enabled us to build up an inestimable database and valuable knowledge of the product and market. If we do not have the design the customer is looking for, we know or will find the place to start.

To be able to speak to, interact with and directly contact our customers is, for us, a luxury and a necessity. As only in this way will we get to know their real needs, treating every model with the devotion and level of detailed care that it deserves.

From the arrival of the spindle at the factory, to its identification, dismantling, cleaning, testing and assembly and final repair. Each and every one of the steps is strictly controlled, identified and monitored by our team of professionals.

To be able to respond to the needs of our cus-tomers, whoever they are, and taking pains-taking care of each one of the stages is our greatest satisfaction.

Thanks to the use of our own technologies and engineering, we are capable of manufacturing and retrofitting special spindles adapted to customer needs.

Quality must be seen, touched and felt, therefore each one of the manufacturing and repair process stages is very carefully controlled and available on an extranet that we share with our customers.

Each and every one of the designs on which we work is prepared in 3D by a specialised team and expert.

We like to think that we are what we are because we believe in what we do. We like to feel that we are reliable, honest and committed to values that, not only tell you about us, but also about the way we carry out our daily work.

have developed special software created for MYL that is capable of responding to the processes in a unique and personal way.

The MYL tool post grinders equipped with the renowned MYL grinding spindles are regularly used on lathes for external and internal grinding and front faces, as well as on planing machines and others.

The MYL RPC type, high speed tool post grinders are units that are specially designed for grinding rubber and polyurethane. The base is designed in accordance with the centre height requirements for each customer.
