Weekly Bulletin Issue 61. July 18th 2013

We had a Ball! It was lovely to see so many of you at our Annual

Summer Ball last Saturday. The sun shone, allowing us to fully appreciate the lovely Victorian setting of Birmingham Botanical

Gardens where we were treated to great music, lovely food, opulent entertainment and best of all .. the

great company of friendly Spicers! (see Photos HERE) Thanks also to all of you who contributed to our

collection of over £260 for the Young Persons Ward at QE Hospital during the evening. Added to the money

already raised means we should have a very significant sum to present and make a real difference

to the quality of life of those using the ward.

Variety is the life of Spice and this weekend the formality of the Ball is replaced by the carnival atmosphere of our Dragon Boat Racing events.

After a couple of wet Summers, it is a joy to be in a heatwave – so get out and make the best of it!

As ever, this Bulletin is designed to give you a quick overview of what is happening this week in Spice.

Dragon Boating is Here Yes, this weekend is National Spice Dragon Boating Weekend in Pershore. We have teams from all the Spice groups and the promise of lots of Spice fun

right through from Friday Night when the first campers arrive. Don’t fancy competing? Well, just
