    1) The procedure for application of silver paste on the ITO coated canopy /windshield job is as follows:

    2) The job is initially kept on the preparation table3) The surface on which the silver paste is to be applied should be cleanand dry The area on which silver paste is to be applied is air cleaned and

    dried.

    4) Masking is done on the areas on which silver paste is not required to beapplied

    5) Subsequently, the job is kept in the application booth6) The silver paste material (Silver copper solvent mixture) is filled in thecontainer of the spray gun.

    7) The exhaust blower is switched ON.8) The spray gun (with container) is connected to the compressor and thesilver paste is applied on the exposed area of the job: the deposition of

silver copper mixture on the surface is made; with a layer of 25 m to 40

    m thickness is recommended.

    9) The blower is switched OFF.10)The job is then kept in the oven for curing; the desired properties areachieved when the coated surface is cured in the curing oven, at a

temperature of 60C for a period of 30 minutes: (4 Hrs is recommended for

normal air drying). Lower resistance values are obtained with oven curing,

    than with air curing.

11)Once cured, the mask is removed and the job is available for use.

The resistance of the silver-copper mixture is measured, once the job is cured.

    Procedure :Procedure :Procedure :Procedure :

Use a calibrated multimeter for measurement

Keep the multimeter in resistance mode

Hold the multimeter probe perpendicular to the plane on which

    resistance is to be checked.

Check the resistance between positions A-A inside, B-B inside, C-C inside

etc, as shown in figure 1.1
