20 MINUTES BATTERY BACK-UP (BACKUP WITH INDIVIDUAL 120 KVA UPS

FULLY LOADED) COMPLETE AS PER THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND

FEATURES GIVEN BELOW.

SPECIFIC BRANDS: UPS SYSTEM: APC, MG, EMERSON, PILLER, RIELLO / AROS, GE BATTERY: SONNENSHINE, SONNEN, ADVA All external power cables: Finolex, Havells, Nicco, LAP

I. FEATURES OF THE UPS SYSTEM:

Technology:

The system should use High frequency IGBT Based rectifier utilising PWM

technique.

The system should use High frequency IGBT inverter with PWM, VFI technology.

All system control parameters and monitoring of rectifier, battery charging and

inverter functions should be carried out digitally. (i.e. by using microprocessor).

Bypass:

The system should provide in-built static bypass as well as manual by-pass. Redundancy:

The system should be able to work as parallel redundant module or standalone

modules as per requirement and it should be possible to program the same from the

front panel.

In case of normal operations, both the paralleled UPS should share the load

equally. In case of failure of any one of the module, the other module should take

complete load without any break of power to the connected loads. Both the systems

Page 2: SPECIFICATIONS FOR TWO NOS OF 2X120 KVA PARALLEL … · 1. 2*120 KVA UPS – 2 Nos APC, MG, EMERSON, PILLER, RIELLO/AROS, GE 2. Model 3. Rated output Power in KVA @0.9 pf. 120 KVA

must also be able to be configured to take full capacity load independently whenever

needed.

System noise:

The acoustic noise of the system should be in tolerable limits as per the

standards and not exceed 75 dB at one meter distance.

Battery monitoring and capacity testing:

The system should provide battery monitoring facility. It should check battery

capacity in regular intervals during normal operation of the UPS. The front LCD panel

should show the capacity of the battery and automatically calculate how long the

load can be supplied and display the same.

Programmable battery testing facility should be provided in the system to know

the status of the battery at any time. By using this battery test mode the system

VIII. Other terms and conditions:

a. Delivery and installation: The system has to be delivered and installed at site (i.e NRSC Balanagar) as per our

requirements. Necessary moving equipments, crane, tools, manpower etc needed for

carrying out the job must be arranged by the supplier.

The supplier’s representative may inspect the site before delivery of the system and

suggest for special requirements, if any, regarding readiness, before the start of actual

installation.

b. Earth pits for UPS earthing:

Four nos of standard copper plate earth pits and Four nos of pipe earth pits are required

for neutral and system body grounding respectively (Details as per enclosed annexure).

The making of earth pits as per IS is also included in the scope of supply along with the

UPS system. The supplier should supply all the material like standard Electrolytic grade

copper plate (600 mm X 600 mm X 3mm), copper strip (25mm X 3 mm), GI pipe,

charcoal, salt, etc needed for making the required no of earth pits.

Labour required must be engaged by the supplier for digging of the pits and carrying out

all the works and final preparation of inspection chambers totally as per IS standards.

Two sets of pits as mentioned above must be made in to two separate grids, one for

neutral and the other grid for body. Inspection test link for each pit must also be provided

for measurement of individual earth pit resistances.

Copper strips from the pits to the system are to be laid and terminated on both the ends

after testing the pits for desired results (Approx length of each copper strip: 25 mtrs from

the pit to the system.)

The cost for making of earth pits and end terminations complete as per the above is

under the scope of UPS supplier.

Page 10: SPECIFICATIONS FOR TWO NOS OF 2X120 KVA PARALLEL … · 1. 2*120 KVA UPS – 2 Nos APC, MG, EMERSON, PILLER, RIELLO/AROS, GE 2. Model 3. Rated output Power in KVA @0.9 pf. 120 KVA

c. Positioning and installation of the UPS system: The systems being supplied have to be installed after removing the old systems from the

installation site. The old 110 KVA UPS systems which are being replaced have to be

disconnected, removed and shifted from the service area and kept in the nearby room

which is about 50 mtrs, for clearing the site for installation of new systems. The new

systems have to be installed on this location. Necessary labour / tools / machinery

required must be arranged by the vendor for completing the shifting job.

d. Input and output cable terminations:

The input and output cables for UPS are to be supplied, laid and terminated by the

supplier. The Output Neutral from the UPS to the output panel has to be 2 runs of cable.

All the cables must necessarily be terminated with suitable crimping terminal ends and

glanded at both the ends.

Approx. length of input cable: 25 mtrs

Approx. length of output cable: 25 mtrs.

The cost of cables, glands, crimping terminal ends, supply and laying of cable, crimping,

hardware for terminations is in the scope of UPS supplier.

IX. Price breakup for all the items 1. 2 X 120 KVA parallel redundant UPS systems alongwith all the essential modules like

Battery breakers, battery cables and battery links etc 2 sets

2. Battery banks with stands 4 sets

(For 2 sets of 2 X 120 KVA UPS)
