Bringing together decades of industrial project experience, thegroup was formed and is led by Pieter Laubscher from KodaConsulting. Willem Schoeman at Consologistix forms the Logisti-cal planning and project management core of the group. On thecreative side, Charl Groenewald from CGA provides visionary,award-winning design specific to Industrial applications. Theexpertise for the electrical and mechanical components of indus-trial projects is provided by Energy Partners through HougaardLangeveldt and Gordon Jacobsen. The group is completed byAndries Smith from Avon and Robert Laubscher from Kodabringing structural expertise and international experience.

LEAD & CIVILA registered professional engineer, Pieter graduated in civil engineering from the University ofStellenbosch in 1970. His project involvement over the past 45 years include a diversifiedrange of industrial buildings and related infrastructure. He specialises in the planning, designand implementation of civil engineering components for industrial buildings.
Charl Groenewald PrArch
ARCHITECTURALCharl is a professional architect with 30 years' experience in master planning, design and
construction of industrial and commercial buildings. Charl has acted as principal consultant forseveral multi-disciplinary projects in the industrial and commercial sector.
Currently involved in the planning and design of energy efficient and environmentally friendlyindustrial facilities in Africa for various local and international companies.
Willem Schoemann
LOGISTICSWillem has been part of the logistics environment for nearly 30 years in a national capacity. He hasa successful track record in developing Logistics Footprints, Project Management, StrategyImplimentation and Business Development. He created Consologistix SA (Pty) Ltd to renderconsultancy services to the Logistics and Industrial sector. Consologistix is the official partner ofORTEC products in Southern Africa which renders Strategic, Tactical and Advanced Planningservices to customers, leading to optimised Network results.

Hougaard Langeveldt – Mech Eng
MECHANICALA registered refrigeration engineer, Hougaard Langeveldt graduated in mechanical engineering
at Cape Technikon in 2000. His project involvement over the past 17 years include a diversifiedrange of cold storage and food processing facilities. He specialises in the planning, design andimplementation of mechanical engineering components for commercial and industrial facilities.
Andries Smith PrEng
STRUCTURALAndries is a registered professional engineer. After graduating from the University of Pretoria incivil engineering in 1983, he has been involved in a variety of large engineering projects whichinclude industrial buildings with related components. He specialises in the planning, design andimplementation of structural engineering components for industrial [email protected]
Robert Laubscher PrEng CEng MICE
INTERNATIONALRob is an experienced Professional Engineer with long term local design and site experience in theUAE, Qatar, UK and South Africa. He has delivered projects in over 15 countries and is registeredas both Chartered Engineer in the UK (EC) and Professional Engineer in South Africa (ECSA). Rob isa structural engineer with extensive design experience in all main building materials complementedby his in-depth knowledge of construction works and contract administration.

ELECTRICALA registered professional technologist, Gordon Jacobsen graduated in Electrical Engineering (Heavy
Current) at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 1986. Gordon's 31 years of expertiseincludes a wide range of electrical engineering, specializing in infrastructure, alternative powersolutions, industrial and commercial projects and process control. He is competent in the design,documentation, procurement, project management and commissioning of electrical sections of

9 DISTRIBUTION CENTRES OVER 6 PROVINCES& 3 COUNTRIES.The Central Team has been actively involved in develop-ing and upgrading a number of the Parmalat DistributionCentres, Factories and Cross Dock Facilities over anumber of years. These facilities include Gauteng, Dur-ban, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Bloemfontein, Parow, PortElizabeth, Gaborone and Zambia. Important to note isthat these projects ranged over a wide spectrum ofdesigns ranging from full developments, upgrading,revamping and industrialisation. The Central Team isinvolved in the Parmalat Network redevelopmentthrough placement and feasibility studies, resulting fromthe current fast changing Logistics environment in SouthAfrica.

LOGISTICS NETWORK STUDYACHIEVED 15% NETWORK COST SAVING
One of South Africa's leading suppliers of consumer goods requested optimisation off their supply networks in order to potentiallycreate better results through the creation of a Multi Warehouse Network vs. the Traditional Centralised Network. The optimisedmodel resulted in an overall supply chain cost saving. Although required infrastructure grew by 55% (warehousing and distributionplatforms) the overall network cost reduced by 15% due to kilometer savings (distribution cost).

During 2011 and 2012 the team wasresponsible for the design andimplementation of a distributionnetwork of 7 DC's for the JD Group inJetpark, Ermelo, Emalahleni,Mbombela, Dwarsloop, Naledi andAeroton.
MUSHROOM GROWING FACILITY IN THE DESERT
The Joriki Mushroom constructed in 2016/17 is a pur-pose built facility for growing high quality mushrooms inthe inhospitable desert climate. The first phase of thefacility contains 10 growing rooms with a further 20rooms planned in the next phase.
