Track belt maintenance tip: The UV rays from the sun are detrimental to track belt life. At season’s end, remove the tracks from your PistenBully, roll up and store out of the sunlight preferably under a roof. If this is not possible, the tracks should be wrapped in plastic sheeting that is UV tolerant.

Sprocket maintenance tip: Looking to extend the life of your sprockets? Try rotating them after the season. Leftside to the right and rightside to the left. This will move the tooth surfaces that have normally been in the reverse direction to the forward side.

Battery maintenance tip: Routine and timely charging of your PistenBully batteries is a must during the off season. If you leave them in the vehicle, be sure to start the engine and run on a schedulded basis thoughout the summer. The preferred method is to remove and store the batteries in the shop. Use a trickle charger to keep them in a charged state.

Tiller maintenance tip: Make sure the tiller is stored on a flat surface so that the finishers are in a relaxed state and not folded over. This prevents them from taking a “set” over the summer that will affect the groomed surface the following winter.
