Last year’s tournament was a great success with fun and smiles throughout the day! Over $80,000 was raised for Special Olympics Calgary, bringing the 16-year total to over $1,105,000. Your support makes a world of difference to our organization.

Play for excellent team and hole-in-one prizes We will have ladies’, men’s, mixed and celebrity/athlete divisions. Players can participate as Titanium, Graphite or Trimetal sponsors. There are also opportunities for breakfast and dinner sponsors, athlete and celebrity registration sponsors, cart sponsors, golf ball sponsors, hole-in-one sponsors and auction prize donors.

Play for a great cause Special Olympics Calgary is a volunteer-driven registered charity. Our mission is to enrich the lives of Albertans with an intellectual disability through sport. The unique approach of Special Olympics programs focuses on athletes’ abilities, not their disabilities. We provide a combination of fun, fitness and social activity that helps build the confidence and life skills of our athletes. Special Olympics is in the community every day of the year. Over 800 athletes, with support and coaching from 300 volunteers, participate in 21 different summer and winter sports.

Special Olympics Calgary relies on the generosity of individuals, groups, corporations and special events to survive, as we receive no direct government funding to sustain our operations. 76% of our annual operating budget is raised through generous donations right here in Calgary. Currently, we require approximately $700,000 dollars to cover the costs associated with programming. Proceeds from the Golf Classic will help us to achieve this goal.
