Isolate actuator and mechanical faults on Common Rail pumps. The false actuator kit has been designed to work in conjunction with the sealed rail kit to further interrogate the pump when a reduction in the pressure being generated within the CR system has been identified.When maximum pressure cannot be generated using the sealed rail kit and the vehicle actuator, the false actuator is fitted in order to enable the pump to generate full system pressure. If the pump generates the correct pressure with the false actuator in place then the vehicle actuator is deemed to be at fault and should be replaced. If the pressure is still below the required level when tested with the false actuator, then there is a mechanical failure within the pump.

Designed to measure return fuel flow on diesel vehicles up to 6 cylinders, fitted with common rail injection systems. This kit helps you to identify worn, blocked or inoperative injectors quickly and easily. The 780R, 760R and 760BUS, are all fitted with transport locks to protect the measuring system during transportation. In addition, a range of accessories can be purchased for refrigerant flushing, VDC* control diagnosis, system performance checks and gas analysis.

Konfort 760RThe KONFORT 760R has all the same features as the 780R, but is designed as a single refrigerant unit. A retrofit kit to change refrigerant type to HFO1234YF in the future is available. This does not update the unit to a bi-gas as with the 780 below.

Konfort 720RThe KONFORT 720R is an entry level unit for single gas applications. It features a single colour display, with manual control of hoses, oil and UV management.

Konfort 780RThe KONFORT 780R is the top of the range service station which is designed to deal with both refrigerant types (R134A & HFO-1234YF) simultaneously. The unit is fully automatic and the information is clearly presented on the colour display. An internal SD card records all the service functions as well as containing the vehicle database. Automatic Oil/UV management with electronic bottle identification and hermetically sealed containers prevent cross contamination of oils and any moisture contamination of lubricants. The internal tilt sensor ensures accurate refrigerant charging at all times, whilst the automatic leak detection and complex internal ventilation system ensures safe use with the new refrigerant. These new features allow the units to be compatible with Hybrid and Electric vehicles. The accuracy of both the recovery and charge phases are greatly increased to meet the latest OEM requirements. BOSCH ACS611 & 511The unit automatically controls every phase of maintenance, including oil and refrigerant recovery, recycling and refilling, without needing direct intervention from a technician. However, the manual mode allows the user to control all aspects individually if so desired.

The powerful two-phase vacuum pump of the ACS611 assures quick and effective evacuation of the system and, as with all Bosch units, it comes equipped with a database to provide the necessary oil and refrigerant quantities for the specific vehicle’s air con system. The ACS611 also has an integrated printer to provide detailed reports.

As an alternative, for garages with low service levels, we also offer the ACS511, which has a less powerful compressor yet still meets the requirements for a professional A/C service, without compromising on the quality expected from Bosch.

European Union F-gas regulationsFrom 4th July 2010, in order to legally work on MACS (mobile air-conditioning systems) on cars and car derived vans, all MAC technicians must have achieved, as a minimum requirement, a refrigerant handling qualification (approved by Defra) meeting these EU F-Gas Regulations (Commission Regulation EC 842/2006 and the later Annex to Commission Regulation EC 307/2008). These vocationally related qualifications (VRQ) are part of the IMI Awardssuite of QCF automotive air conditioning qualifications.

Onsite VRQMinimum of two technicians, unless as part of a new AC machine installation. This qualification is for technicians who have received previous training or have experience in working with air conditioning systems, but require accreditation on F-Gas handling only, to meet

Defra regulations. The VRQ qualification is the basic legal requirement if using aircon equipment on motor vehicles and can be taken at your premises, subject to suitable internet access, or at one of our approved training centres.

Please note that the onsite VRQ contains both a practical assessment and an online, multiple choice exam, designed to test the technician’s competence in the handling of refrigerant gases according to the Defra approved IMIAL Level 3 Award (EC842-2006) QCF standards. The VRQ assessment should not be viewed as a training course, if the technician has little or no prior experience on AC systems, we strongly recommend either the 1 or 2 day course which includes both system training and the VRQ assessment. The qualification is suitable for those technicians who wish to expand their breadth of knowledge in the routine servicing and maintenance of mobile air conditioning systems.

2 Day Course - Level 3 Award in Automotive Air Conditioning and Climate Control Diagnosis and Repair (EC842-2006) (QCF)Course Overview:Similar to the one day course but includes further training on actual diagnosis and repair of air conditioning and climate control systems.

Both the one day and two day courses incorporate Unit AC1 (K/600/3391) Refrigerant Handling (EC842-2006). This unit is approved by Defra for MAC technicians (working with cars and car derived vans) who handle F-Gas. Therefore on the completion of this qualification, technicians will hold a valid certificate (attestation) to legally recover F-Gas (see Background to European Union F-gas regulations above). The quaification is assessed by practical assessments and IMI online set tests.
