Date & Time   The 28rh Annual City of Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Lighted Boat Parade @ Holiday Inn Harbourside will be held

Saturday, December 20, 2014, starting at 7:00 p.m.

Captains’ Meeting   The Captains’ Meeting will be held at Jimmy Guana’s on Thursday, December 18, 2014, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please call Randy Schwab (727/776-5078) by Monday, December 15, 2014, if you will be attending the Meeting. Hors d’oeuvres will be served. Jimmy Guana’s is located in the Holiday Inn Harbourside, 401 2nd Street, Indian Rocks Beach.  

This is a Judged Event   Each participant will be assigned a number at the Captains’ Meeting which must be displayed throughout the entire parade on the port side of your vessel. If you are unable to attend the Captains’ Meeting, please contact the Events Committee boat @ 727/776-5078 for your number. Judges will be posted throughout the parade route!

Prizes & Categories   There will be 3 Categories: Prizes are as follows: 23 feet and under 1st Place (each category): $ 400.00 24 to 30 feet 2nd Place “ “ : $ 350.00 31 feet and over 3rd Place “ “ : $ 300.00

Parade Course & Line Up   The line up will begin at 6:45 p.m. approximately 200 yards south of the southern end of the Holiday Inn fuel dock. Sail boats shall make up the end of the line. The procession will head north by the Holiday Inn dock, (number should be visible on the PORT SIDE of the boat), and then continue north under the Walsingham/SR 688 Bridge. The Bridge will remain open until all boats are clear, however, should it be necessary for the Bridge to close due to an emergency, the Bridge Tender will sound the Danger Signal of 5 short blasts. The procession will finish at the north end of the City Limit off Harbor Drive North. The water depth is 6 to 8 feet, however, if the Committee Boat feels the depth is too shallow, the deep draft boats will be halted at the channel to let the others proceed ahead.  

Safety & Equipment   Please check that your boat’s navigational lights are working, and that your boat meets all approved Coast Guard requirements to include a sufficient number of approved life vests, etc.

SPECIAL NOTICE ! The Captains’ Awards Ceremony will take place at Jimmy Guana’s at the Holiday Inn Harbourside on Monday, December 22, 2014 @ 7:00 p.m.
