Personally, I'm excited about all of the new possibilities that spring oers, especially getting back outside. We have also heard from the community how important recreating in our local parks and trails is to you and have many activities to help you enjoy the great outdoors. Look inside this edition of the recreation guide for

opportunities to host a Neighbourhood Block Party, discover how to locate land to start a Community Garden, or become a bee-wrangler and learn how to raise Mason Bees: one of nature's great pollinators. There are lots of options for bike riding, learning how to master the trails, maintain your bike or, ride your bike by participating in Bike to Work Week. There are plenty of other activities and no matter what you choose to do, the benets of being outdoors, active and creating social ties with other community members are endless. Happy spring-time recreating!

Racquetball and Squash, what is the difference?Racquetball and squash are racquet sports played indoors in closed courts. Both sports require agility, speed, coordination, and quick movements; and can be played by singles or doubles. How they dier is their rules, court size, and equipment. Squash balls are smaller than racquetballs, and squash racquets are longer than racquetball racquets.

What is Wallyball? This sport adds a whole new dimension to the game of Volleyball. Wallyball is basically volleyball played in a racquetball court. How it diers from volleyball is the court is smaller, and walls are used to bounce and strategically place the ball.
