I hope everyone has a great spring break, April 10-15. The end of the quarter is April 6, and report cards will be available for viewing April 26. Thanks to everyone involved in the International Youth Leadership Summit the last week of March, as well as the 9th Grade Expo March 27th, and the Fine Arts Night, March 21st. I hope everyone had a chance to see our Spring Musical, Rock of Ages, and congrats to the cast, crew, and faculty. Re-minder, Prom is April 21.

A significant amount of time will be spent in May conducting AP and SOL testing. The schedules will be placed on our web site. The last day of school is June 9; students in grades 9th through 11th graders are expected to attend through this date.

Make sure your course requests for next year are 100% accurate. We may not even be able to make changes this spring, but want to note any requests as soon as possible.

I hope to see everyone at a spring sporting event. Seniors, remember to finish strong.

Behind the Wheel InformationLoudoun County Public Schools offers the BEHIND THE WHEEL [BTW] course here at Broad Run. Eligible students are those who: • Hold a Virginia driving permit • Have successfully completed the classroom portion of Driver Education with a passing grade • Have been practicing their driving skills with their parents.

45 hours of practice driving with a parent is the minimum suggested by BTW teachers for students to be successful in the BTW course.

Sigma Tau Sigma Freshmen Mentoring Program

On March 22, Sigma Tau Sigma celebrated another great year of connecting with our freshmen with a thank you Breakfast! Our program has mentored over 400 students and enhanced the leadership skills of our Juniors and Seniors that serve as mentors. We would like to recognize our BRHS administration for your support of this impactful program that serves 500+ students!

WHAT IS PROJECT GRADUATION?

Project Graduation, part of the Broad Run High School Parent-Teacher-Student organization - a 501(3)(c), is a nationwide effort to provide graduating seniors with a fun, safe place to celebrate their last night together as high school students. This all-night, alcohol and drug-free party is exclusively for graduating seniors and is held at the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion. The event is held on graduation night (June 11) from 11:30pm through 5:00am (June 12). The students receive a night of fun events, music, games, food, and prizes - lots of prizes. Parents receive the peace of mind knowing that their graduates are celebrating in a safe environment. Want more info: www.brhspg.org
