Château Lynch Bages, Pauillac 2008. Bordeaux, France £290.00Red and black bramble fruits greet the nose, followed by a creamy textured, rich yet beautifully balanced palate. This is a serious wine but the tannins are incredibly elegant and the gorgeous, crunchy fruit finish goes on and on.

Opus One 2014. California, USA £540.00An extraordinary nose of violets, creme de cassis and spring flowers. Gorgeously pure, opulently full-bodied, with sweet tannins and superb concentration. It tastes like a top-notch vintage of ripe Bordeaux, but made in California.
