HONG KONG (AP) — Fiji won the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens for a record-extending 17th time on Sunday, beating South Africa 22-0 in a lopsided final to win their first tourna-ment since the Rio Olympics.

Still rebuilding after several senior players and their former coach Ben Ryan left after win-ning the Olympic gold medal, the South Pacific Islanders ended their lean run this season in spectacular fashion by claiming the most prestigious event on the World Series cir-cuit for the third year in a row.

Running their opponents ragged with a combination of power, pace and improvisation, Fiji opened up a 10-0 at halftime after tries from Sevuloni Moce-nacagi and Mesulame Kunavula then put the result beyond doubt when Kalione Nasoko crossed twice more in the second half.

“There’s been a lot of pres-sure,” said Fiji captain Oseo Kolinisau. “At the start of this tournament, I told the boys let’s not think about the three-peat, let’s chase it like we’re gunning for our first Hong Kong title.”

The relief was evident too for new coach Gareth Baber, though the Welshman said the result would not reduce the expecta-tions on Fiji to keep winning.

“There are always huge expectations on. They are

the world champions and the Olympic champions for a reason,” he said. “Ben did a fan-tastic job and now I have to try and pick up that baton and move it on.

“And even though we’ve got Olympians in there, they’re still humble enough to know they can still add to their skill set.”

For South Africa, the current World Series leaders, the long wait for their first Hong Kong title goes on after the Blitz-boks finished runners-up for the fourth time.

They almost came unstuck in the semi-finals against the United States when they blew a 17-point lead before beating the American 29-24 in extra-time but were unable to raise their game in the final.

“We knew playing against Fiji in the final in Hong Kong that they were always going to up their performance by 10 to 15 per cent and that’s what they did,” South African coach Neil Powell said.

“That’s not an excuse. We needed to absorb that pressure and not make mistakes ... so credit to Fiji, they played better than us and deserved to win.”

Australia, beaten 33-12 by Fiji in the semi-finals, defeated the United States 26-19 to win the third-place playoff, their best result of the season.

The Associated PressIt was so easy last year.Stephen Curry was the unan-

imous Most Valuable Player, Karl-Anthony Towns was the unanimous Rookie of the Year, and most of the other NBA award races turned out to be very one-sided when the votes were counted.

That was then. Here’s this year’s reality:

When three NBA writers from The Associated Press made their picks, we were unanimous on nothing. And in two of six cat-egories, everybody voted for someone different.

For the first time, the NBA will release all the award results on the same night — in a tele-vised special June 26 in New York, instead of revealing win-ners sporadically throughout the playoffs.

And this year, intrigue will not be in short supply.

So in this, our final edition of “Around The NBA” for this season, AP Basketball Writers Jon Krawczynski in Minne-apolis, Brian Mahoney in New York and Tim Reynolds in Miami tell you their picks:

ROOKIE OF THE YEARKrawczynski: Malcolm

Brogdon, Milwaukee. Others, including Joel Embiid and Dario Saric, were flashier. But no one was more consistent all year long and had a bigger impact on a playoff-bound team.

Mahoney: Joel Embiid, Phil-adelphia. Yes, it was only 31 games, but when Embiid played he made the 76ers matter and sometimes made them pretty good, and neither has happened much in Philadelphia the last

few years.Reynolds: Joel Embiid, Phil-

adelphia. I think there should be a minimum-games requirement, and if one existed the pick here would be Milwaukee’s Malcolm Brogdon — whose value to the Bucks cannot be overstated. But even in 31 games, Embiid’s numbers were just that good.

SIXTH MAN OF THE YEARKrawczynski: Eric Gordon,

Houston. Harden has been great, but Gordon’s renaissance in his first year in Houston has been a major factor for the Rockets’ improvement as well.

Mahoney: Eric Gordon, Houston. In his first season coming off the bench he shat-tered the record for 3-pointers by a reserve as one of the many weapons around James Harden.

Reynolds: Andre Iguodala, Golden State. Simply put, the Warriors aren’t the Warriors without him.

Eric Gordon, Lou Williams and (as always) Jamal Crawford merited a look here as well, but Iguodala — even with modest stats — stood out.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Krawczynski: Draymond Green, Golden State. The tip of the spear for the best team in the league. Warriors may have two titles were it not for his suspen-sion in last year’s finals.

Mahoney: Rudy Gobert, Utah. Scoring often looks like it’s gotten easier in the NBA but that doesn’t seem to be the case around the center for the team that allows the fewest points per game in the league.

Reynolds: Rudy Gobert, Utah. There are so many tre-mendous defensive players in this league, like Kawhi Leonard, Hassan Whiteside, Draymond Green and LeBron James (the best to never to win DPOY). But Gobert keeps getting better, and now is a gamechanger.

MOST IMPROVED PLAYERKrawczynski: Giannis Ante-

tokounmpo, Milwaukee. From very good young player to an All-Star starter, the Greek Freak can now say he’s an elite player in the league.

Mahoney: Nikola Jokic,

Denver. In just his second season, the native of Serbia has become a triple-double threat from the center spot.

Reynolds: James Johnson, Miami. He changed his body after arriving in Miami, losing 30 pounds. With that, his attitude and his game changed as well. It was a career year for Johnson and he’s going to get seriously paid this July as a result.

COACH OF THE YEARKrawczynski: Mike

D’Antoni, Houston. The Rockets were a mess last season. He came in, installed Harden as his point guard and has galva-nized a team that entered the season with low expectations.

Mahoney: Mike D’Antoni, Houston. Engineered a terrific turnaround in Houston with his high-scoring brand of basket-ball and made a Rockets team that was a disappointment last season into one of the best in the West.

Reynolds: Erik Spoelstra, Miami. This was Spoelstra’s best coaching job. Losing Chris Bosh a week before camp, losing Dwyane Wade in the summer, starting 11-30, dealing with tons of injuries ... it all brought out the best in Spoelstra. And even with many players in contract years, he kept the room together.

MOST VALUABLE PLAYERKrawczynski: Russell West-

brook, Oklahoma City. At least four players have legitimate claim.

When we look back on this season in 10 years, Russ’s performance will be the one everyone still talks about.

Mahoney: James Harden, Houston. Slightest edge over Russell Westbrook after playing a brilliant, all-around game at a new position to make the Rockets one of the best teams in the NBA.

Reynolds: LeBron James, Cleveland. You can argue for Russell Westbrook and make all the sense in the world. Same goes for James Harden, same goes for Kawhi Leonard. It was an MVP race like perhaps none other. But the MVP should go to the best player. Triple-doubles be damned, that’s still LeBron James.

NEW YORK (AP) — A final on or around the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Modern sta-diums across the United States and perhaps in Mexico and Canada, too.

A North American World Cup in 2026 with 48 nations would be far larger and played in almost all different venues than the 24-team event the U.S. hosted in 1994.

Soccer officials planned to announce details of the joint bid by the U.S., Mexico and Canada at a news conference Monday atop the Freedom Tower at the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan. The split of games was likely to be discussed.

“Don’t think for a moment that the political climate in the United States didn’t impact this,” former U.S. defender Alexi Lalas, now a Fox analyst, said Sunday. “A joint World Cup that includes Mexico prob-ably garners additional support and sends a message.”

U.S. President Donald Trump has faced criticism over his plans — since stopped by courts — to bar new visas for people from Iran, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen and Libya. FIFA President Gianni Infantino said last month than “any team, including the sup-porters and officials ... who qualify for a World Cup need to have access to the country, otherwise there is no World Cup. That is obvious.”

A majority of games likely will be played in the United States.

Infantino and the six con-federation presidents have rec-ommended the North and Cen-tral American and Caribbean region get six berths, any host included. But the proposal said the FIFA Council would decide on a structure in the event of co-hosts.

“You sit there and just shake your head: Where is this thing going to go and why?” said

former U.S. goalkeeper Kasey Keller, currently an ESPN analyst. “Who knows, maybe they’ll move it to 68 teams by that time? It’s so hard to tell what FIFA’s thinking or what they’re doing or what’s the process after the last bidding fiasco. I guess you just have to trust the people closest to it, that they know what they’re doing.”

FIFA’s Congress of all members decided on World Cup hosts through the 1982 tournament, but the power was then given to its ruling executive committee of about two dozen members. After the tainted vote in December 2010 that awarded the 2018 event to Russia and 2022 to Qatar, the decision was returned to the Congress, now 211 members.

FIFA announced last May that the 2026 vote will take place in May 2020 and said in October that the previous two World Cup hosts — Europe and Asia — will not be eligible to bid.

Africa could mount a bid, especially if it allies with another confederation and both vote as blocs. Europe has 55 members, Africa 54, Asia 46, CONCACAF 35, Oceania 11 and South America 10.

Lalas called a joint bid a “calculated and a strategic play.”

“I was hoping for a U.S.-hosted World Cup, remem-bering 1994 and how that changed U.S. soccer forever, and I wanted a 2026 version of the United States to also alone reap the benefits of what a men’s World Cup can do,” he said. “However, I would rather have a joint World Cup than no World Cup at all.”

Racing to construct sta-diums in time dominated the run-ups to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the 2014 tournament in Brazil, and the pace of building again is of concern as the 2018 World Cup in Russia approaches.

The U.S. portion of the bid will rely on the gleaming sta-diums opened by the NFL in the past two decades.

Among the possible venues are MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey (82,500 capacity, opened in 2010); AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas (80,000, 2009); Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Cali-fornia (68,500, 2014); Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mas-sachusetts (66,000, 2002); and Lincoln Financial Field in Phil-adelphia (69,500 in 2003).

Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium (71,000) is set to open this year and an 80,000-seat stadium for the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood, California, in 2019. The Washington Red-skins also hope for a new home.

Chicago’s Soldier Field, the

only one of the 1994 venues likely to be used, reopened in 2003 after a gut renovation. Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, also has been modernized and a soccer-style roof over the seats was added.

Mexico would appear to have few edifice concerns. Mexico City’s Azteca Sta-dium, built for the 1966 World Cup, has an 87,000 capacity after a renovation that was completed last year, and there are relatively new venues in Monterrey (BBVA Bancomer, 52,000, 2015) and Guadala-jara (Estadio Chivas, 45,000, 2010).

Canada’s largest arena is Commonwealth Stadium (56,000) in Edmonton, Alberta, which opened in 1978 and was renovated ahead of the 2015

Women’s World Cup.BC Place in Vancouver

British, Columbia (54,500) underwent major renovations from 2009-11 and also was used for the women’s tourna-ment. Montreal’s Olympic Stadium (56,000), built for the 1976 Games, and Toronto’s Rogers Centre (53,000) are less ideal for soccer in their current states.

A joint effort could lessen costs in a process through which legal documents and promotion are exorbitant. The failed U.S. bid to host in 2018 or 2022 cost $9 million, of which about half was funded by the U.S. Soccer Federa-tion. Major League Soccer and its owners gave about half the remaining contributions.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — To get an autographed, hole-in-one ball handed to you at the Masters sounds like a golf fan’s dream. Matt Kuchar made an entire family’s dream come true.

Kuchar gave the ball he used to ace the par-3 16th hole on Sunday to 10-year-old Owen Lockaby of Bradenton, Florida, who comes from a family of Masters fans. Owen was wearing a straw hat like golf great Sam Snead wore. It was adorned with a button Augusta National gave out as a tribute to the late Arnold Palmer.

Kuchar hit a 7-iron off the tee from 170 yards away, landing it just right of the green. Then he and the gallery watched the ball curve toward the cup and roll in.

After Kuchar retrieved the ball, he signed it and handed it to Owen.

“I figured this would make

a kid’s day and make a kid’s year,” Kuchar said. “It’s one of the neat things that we can do.”

The 16th hole typically provides the best chances for a hole-in-one. Last year, there were three aces there, and all of them occurred Sunday.

Kuchar said he did not know Lockaby, that he just noticed the Snead-style hat and said, “That’s the kid I’m giving it to.”

Owen was still stunned by Kuchar’s gift long after the golfer moved on.

“I just sat there. Then Matt gave me the ball,” Owen told The Florida Times-Union.

His mom, Tracy Lockaby, told the newspaper that Owen’s father, Jay, has been coming to the Masters for 30 years, and Owen has never missed one. She said she got him the hat “because I thought it might get him noticed for some autographs.”

Good move.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Bruce Bochy can only hope returning home to familiar scenery might help get his Giants going at last.

It hasn’t been a very impres-sive opening stretch for San Francisco (2-5), which blew eight leads over its initial five games then snapped a four-game losing streak by beating San Diego 5-3 on Sunday.

“We’re barely closing in on a week. All of these guys are going to have a rough week,” Bochy said. “It just so happens it’s the first week. There’s a couple of guys who haven’t got a hit. It draws a little bit more attention to it.” Matt Moore (0-1) will take the ball opposing Taijuan Walker (1-0) when the Giants host Arizona in their home opener Monday afternoon at sold-out AT&T Park after opening at the Diamondbacks’ Chase Field last week.

Moore, beginning his first full season with the club after being acquired from Tampa Bay at the 2016 trade dead-line, allowed six runs and eight hits over 5 1/3 innings in a loss Wednesday at Arizona.

San Francisco’s 1-5 start matched its worst six-game start since the Giants’ first season out West in 1958, the fifth time doing so — also in 1967, 1980, 2007 and 2008.

Yet the Giants have won 13

of their last 16 home openers, going 13-4 in such games since AT&T Park opened in 2000.

It is a home-field advantage visiting players notice — and thrilled to be a part of if they eventually join the Giants.

“Oh, it’s a lot better playing on this side than the other side having this crowd cheer for you,” reserve catcher Nick Hundley said. “It’s a great atmosphere. Coming here over the years has always been out-standing. The fans here are rabid and love the Giants. The way that these players in here embrace the fans, embrace the city and play hard for the fans is something I’m excited to con-tinue to do.”

While San Francisco has welcomed back players who were injured late last season such as third baseman Eduardo Nunez and second baseman Joe Panik, the Giants are still waiting for this group to click.

“Just to have these guys coming here for another year and kind of know what to expect from them, how to play behind some of these pitchers, playing with the guys that I’ve played with for the last four or five years, it definitely helps,” first baseman Brandon Belt said. “But in saying that, stuff’s going to happen throughout the year and we’ve got to be able to overcome that.”

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — It was another vintage triple-double game for James Harden. The only number the Houston Rockets super-star seemed concerned about, though, was 54 — the number of wins the Rockets have this season.

Harden had 35 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds, leading the Rockets to a 135-128 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. It was the 21st triple-double this season for Harden, second behind Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook, who broke Oscar Robertson’s 56-year record with his 42nd in a victory over Denver.

Harden has scored 30 or more points and had double-

digit assists in 29 games. In this one, he toyed with the Kings’ defense, making five 3-pointers and shooting 9 of 22 overall. He converted 12 of 13 free throws and played 36 minutes, departing for good with the Rockets comfortably in front late in the fourth quarter.

The debate regarding who is the deserving MVP, Harden or Westbrook, will linger until the balloting is revealed after the season.

“I’ve done enough,” said Harden, whose only bad stat was his 10 turnovers. “I thought winning was the most important thing. Period. That’s what it’s all about.”

Harden had the Rockets’ high-powered offense going

strong in the opening half when he scored 21 points. He added nine more in the third quarter, when the Rockets continued making 3-pointers and led 107-89 heading into the fourth.

However, if Kings veteran guard Garrett Temple had an MVP vote, he would choose Westbrook.

“Honestly, man, as great as James has been playing the last week, Russ has summed it up, in my eyes,” Temple said. “I mean he had another 50-point some-thing and triple-double with a game-winner. Nobody has been talking about how clutch he’s been. Russ is playing at another whole level right now. Russ is my MVP.”

Ryan Anderson made six 3-pointers and had 21 for Houston. Clint Capela and Lou Williams each had 18 points, and Bobby Brown made four 3-pointers and had 16. The Rockets made 18 of 43 3-point attempts and shot 56 percent overall.

Rookie Skal Labissiere made 10 of 12 shots and had 25 points for the Kings. Ty Lawson had 20 points and 11 assists, Ben McLemore had 18 points, Willie Cauley-Stein contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds, Gar-rett Temple had 13 points and Buddy Hield added 12.

The Kings allowed a season-high point total and were swept in four games by Houston for the first time since the 1997-98 season. The Rockets have defeated Sacramento in 12 of the teams’ last 13 meetings.

Houston, which had dropped four of its previous six, has already secured third place in the Western Conference and will meet Oklahoma City in the opening round of the playoffs. The Rockets have two games remaining and conclude the reg-ular season Wednesday against visiting Minnesota.

“We’re confident,” Anderson said. “We know if we control the pace of play and our effort, and stay locked in and focused,

it will be tough for teams to beat us.”

Houston, which has already set a single-season record for 3-point baskets, had its offense going strong in the opening quarter. The Rockets made nine 3-pointers and led 42-27. Get-ting little resistance from an uninspired Kings defense, the Rockets stretched their lead to 78-62 by halftime.

The Kings pulled to within six at 88-82 in the third quarter, then watched Houston go on a 15-2 run in building the lead to 19 points. Sacramento owns 7-16 record since trading DeMarcus Cousins at the All-Star break.

HARDEN APPLAUDS WESTBROOK’S RECORD

Harden says there’s no ani-mosity toward Westbrook, his former teammate for several seasons at Oklahoma City. He planned to congratulate West-brook with a text as soon as he got on the team bus headed for the airport.

“He’s played extremely well all season long,” Harden said. “It’s a great individual accom-plishment. This isn’t about any hating.”

TIP-INSRockets: Rested starter Tevor

Ariza and key reserves Eric Gordon and Nene. ... Houston made 12 3-pointers and shot 64 percent in the opening half.

Kings: Veterans Arron Afflalo, Darren Collison, Tyreke Evans, and Kosta Koufos were given the day off. ... Sacramento missed 22 of 31 3s, but still scored a season-high 128 points.

UP NEXTRockets: Face the Clippers

on Monday in their final road game of the regular season.

SEATTLE (AP) — When James Paxton was coming up through the minors, he was part of a trio that was expected to be the future of the Seattle Mari-ners rotation.

Paxton is the only one remaining with the Mariners after arm troubles stalled the career of Danny Hultzen and Taijuan Walker was traded in the offseason to Arizona. Paxton will get the call Monday when the Mariners open the home part of their schedule against the Houston Astros in desperate need of some good news after an ugly 1-6 road trip to start the season.

Seattle dropped three of four in Houston then was swept by the Los Angeles Angels, capped by the bullpen allowing seven runs in the ninth inning of a 10-9 loss on Sunday.

It will be the second time Paxton has started a Mariners home opener and the start of a nine-game homestand, their only set of games at home in April. In 2014, Paxton allowed three runs in five innings in a 5-3 win over the Angels.

“There is lots going on. Last time I tried to stuff it down and not react to all the energy in the building,” Paxton said. “But I’ve kind of learned I need to use the energy in the building to have it take me to the next level. It’s kind of let the fans energize me and use it.”

While most of the offseason attention was placed on how Felix Hernandez would rebound from a disappointing 2016, Seattle’s rotation success will be largely pinned on how Paxton is able to build off the changes he made last season. Paxton started last year at Triple-A, and by the end of the year was Seattle’s most consistent starter.

He found an arm slot with his pitching motion that maxi-mized velocity, added a cutter to the mix and didn’t shy from attacking hitters rather than nib-bling on the edges.

“We had teams come through here, multiple teams, general managers sharing with me that James Paxton was as good stuff-wise as anyone they’d seen all year, including teams that were still playing in October,” Seattle general manager Jerry Dipoto said during the offseason. “He really showed us that he has the physical ability, like he has shown before to pitch near the top of the rotation.”

Paxton looked the part in his first outing against the Astros last week in Houston. Paxton allowed just two hits in six shutout innings while striking out five. If not for some pitch inefficiency in the early innings, Paxton probably would have pitched into the seventh, some-thing he did only twice in the final seven starts of last season.

Paxton said he doesn’t

believe there is an advantage for either side having faced the Astros less than a week ago.

Charlie Morton, who gave up two runs in six innings against Seattle, will get the start for the

Astros.“It’s just kind of a wash on

that,” he said.

DEAR ABBY: My boyfriend and I have been together off and on for more than two years. We have been in a long-distance relationship the entire time. I live in California, and he lives in the Midwest. I’ve been trying to get him out here because I have a job I love, and he could easily get a job in his sector out here.

His issue is that this area has “too many people and is too fast-paced” for him. I’m not sure what to do. I don’t want to quit my job and move there. Finding a job there wouldn’t be easy since construction is not booming as much. What do I do? Do I just give up my job, or keep trying to convince him to move? Or should I cut my losses and start over? -- LONG-DISTANCE DATING

DEAR LONG DISTANCE: I don’t think you should give up a job you love in an environment you enjoy on the chance that this two-year relationship might become permanent. If it goes nowhere, where does that leave you? It’s time to ask yourself whether you really want to tie your future to someone who prefers a different way of life. Once you answer that question, you will know what to do.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •DEAR ABBY: My son has his master’s degree in international relations, so he travels to places I will

never see. He’s in Italy now, and he asked me what I would like for a souvenir. I said I wanted his memories.I asked him to get a bag and put in it menus, train tickets and bar napkins, and to jot down at night

on hotel stationery what he did, saw, how the weather was. I asked him to mention anything different or unusual and collect coasters, valet stubs, anything that would help him share his experiences with me when he gets back.

I said that when we go through all the stuff, I will get my vicarious thrill then -- better that than some “tchotchke” I’d have to dust. Good idea? -- PROUD MOM IN FLORIDA

DEAR PROUD MOM: Great idea! As the years go on, those “memory joggers” will let you both relive the adventures he’s having now, and they will become increasingly precious. I know it from experience.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •DEAR ABBY: I am sure this issue affects many people, but I have not seen it addressed in your column.

Oftentimes married partners are separated by many years in age. Eventually the older of them has to enter a long-term care facility due to a mental/physical defect.

Even though the bond and love that kept them together over the years still exists, the younger still has physical and emotional needs that can no longer be met by the older spouse. What are the ethics in the younger one having a “friend with benefits” to address those needs, if it’s done discreetly without causing embarrassment and humiliation to the older spouse? -- FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS

DEAR FRIENDS: This is a highly personal decision that no one can make for anyone else. While many readers may disagree, I see nothing wrong with taking care of yourself as long as you remember you have a moral obligation to support your spouse “’til death do you part.” To me that means visiting and spending time with your spouse every day to ensure his/her needs are taken care of in a compassionate and diligent manner, and to let the person know he or she is loved.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •TO MY JEWISH READERS: It’s time to hide the matzo again -- Passover begins at sundown. Happy

Passover, everyone!

Happy Birthday: Take your time and do things right the first time. Don’t feel pressured to make a move just because someone else does. Research, educate yourself and weigh the negatives and positives carefully, but once your vision is clear and your mind is made up, act quickly. Partnerships will play an important role in the decisions you make and the direction you head. Your numbers are 4, 13, 19, 27, 30, 34, 45.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Scrutinize any offer or information you receive carefully before you make a decision to get involved with someone that can change or influence your life. Do the best job possible and go about your business discreetly. ✸✸✸

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Look at what you can accomplish instead of laboring over what you cannot. Staying positive and giving your all will help you avoid being criticized by people who like to meddle in other people’s affairs. Don’t overdo or overspend. ✸✸✸

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Your carefree attitude can get you into trouble if you believe everything you are told. Before you offer to help someone, find out exactly what’s entailed and why you are being summoned to pitch in. Refuse to be taken advantage of. ✸✸✸✸✸

CANCER (June 21-July 22): Choose to err on the conservative side when it comes to helping others, making donations or bringing about change. Don’t make decisions based on emotions or you will face partnership problems. Concentrate on self-improvements rather than trying to change others. ✸✸

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Share your enthusiasm and you will get your ideas up and running. Altering the way you do things at home or at work may meet with some controversy, but in the end you will find a way to succeed. ✸✸✸✸

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Don’t labor over what others are doing. Look at your own responsibili-ties and get busy chipping away at what needs to be completed before the day comes to an end. Progressive action will result in satisfaction and achievements. ✸✸✸

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): You’ll be caught in the middle of an emotional meltdown if you don’t take time to deal with someone who is opposing your plans. If you offer explanations, the positive gains you make will cancel out any interference. ✸✸✸

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Speak up and let others know what you are thinking and how you feel. Your words will have an impact that will bring about positive changes at home and to the way others treat you. Romance is on the rise. ✸✸✸

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Look for any opportunity you can get to network. A change to the way you work is likely and should be handled with enthusiasm, not fear. Welcoming any sort of new beginning or change with open arms will ensure success. ✸✸✸✸

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You will accomplish the most at home. Try not to venture into any situations that are unpredictable. Don’t feel like you have to follow someone just because he or she is your partner or friend. ✸✸

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Look for opportunities that will help you get ahead financially. A new position or investment prospect will be offered through an old friend or associate. Joint ventures are best handled conservatively. Live within your means. ✸✸✸✸✸

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Be cautious when asked to pitch in and help. Don’t let anyone take advantage of you without some sort of remuneration. Be open about what you want in order to avoid disappointment. Don’t promise anything you cannot deliver. ✸✸✸

Birthday Baby: You are adventurous, outgoing and hardworking. You are opportunistic and persistent.
