Established in 1994, Sovereign initially specialised in mobile exhibits, including vehicle conversions, outdoor events and touring exhibit programmes.

The company subsequently developed into a custom built exhibition specialist, delivering hundreds of projects for clients in a range of industries.

As a design and build specialist, Sovereign’s creative services include outline scheme design and development design as part of the client liaison process. Each project is discussed fully with regard to its objectives and relationship to brand values.

Presentation style is tailored to the clients brief – ranging from a sketch process to full renders and in-house 3D model-making.

Construction drawings and details are also produced in-house as a natural extension to the presentation stage, ensuring that core content and styling is retained through to production.

Production Capability

Sovereign is based on a 17 acre site, approximately 5 miles from the NEC, Birmingham.

The barrier-controlled site includes large workshops with specialist decorating and spray-shop areas and a 25,000 ft2 on-site warehouse.

Large outside parking areas facilitate vehicle access and multiple roller-shutter access bays allow dry loading and unloading.

Sovereign runs its own fleet of over a dozen vehicles including vans, 7.5tonne vehicles and articulated trailers.

Our own teams both construct and install ensuring a level of quality and project ownership - rare in today’s industry.

The scale of Sovereign’s production capability allows larger projects to be undertaken to the same quality and precision as smaller ones. Project Managers control all aspects of delivery including health and safety systems and all venue and organiser liaison.

Sovereign’s ability to create exhibits which mix creativity with quality is its benchmark.

The company has delivered a huge array of projects from small entry-level exhibition stands to schemes specifically designed to be used in a multiple event programme and to large one-off constructions totalling over 2,000m2.

Graphic, audio-visual and interactive layers are embedded into concept design, presenting a clearly defined approach to the brief.

Exhibition Stock Stands and Shell Scheme Upgrades

Sovereign offers a range of Stock Stands - existing but flexible, these off-the-shelf exhibit solutions provide all the benefits of true custom build quality, with the added advantages of accelerated design-time and reduced construction costs.

In addition, Sovereign also offers a range of Shell Scheme upgrade items, ranging from furniture and showcases, graphics and light boxes through to reception desks and plinths. These offer the shell scheme exhibitor the opportunity to incorporate elements usually found only in bespoke construction and provide outstanding value.

Retail Interiors and TV Sets

In the Retail Sector, Sovereign provides both unitary construction and interior fit-out services, often also incorporating additional graphic layers and electrical services.

Site surveys and planning are also undertaken to support retail work - as are the installation of lighting, heating and ventilation as required.

In the last few years, Sovereign has also entered the TV arena, constructing and installing sets for a range of broadcasters. Being a diverse sector, these sets can incorporate elements including kitchen demonstration areas, news backdrops, discussion seating and custom furniture.

Similarly to other sectors, the benchmarks of finish quality, simplicity of installation and integration with other suppliers are paramount.

Museums and Visitor Attractions

In the Museum, Heritage and Visitor Attraction sector, Sovereign provides permanent and semi-permanent fit-out construction incorporating structural elements, mechanical and electrical, graphics and audio-visual layers as specified.

With a vast array of past projects, Sovereign’s construction and project management teams deliver schemes which primarily rely on quality of construction, adherence to budget and accuracy of project timeline.

Sovereign’s pedigree in the exhibition and event sectors allow museum and visitor attraction projects to benefit from its intent to meet or beat timelines, whilst assuring quality standards and continual value-engineering.

Live Events

Live Events, often in-situ for a very short period of time, allow Sovereign to demonstrate specialist construction and project management with regard to tight schedules and venue restrictions.

Ranging from car launches to conferences and seminars, Sovereign’s expertise has seen recent projects delivered from Wembley to Tenerife.

Installations range from one-off creations through to set and stage systems designed for regular, modular use. These often incorporate projection, lighting and smoke effects, turntables, decking, rigging, furniture and graphic layers.

Again, Sovereign’s experienced crews ensure events are fitted, handed over and opened on time.
