Souvenir Programme & Song Sheet

This year SACOS Musical Productions had to make the decision not to proceed with the planned show Oklahoma!

As most of you are aware SACOS normally performs it’s spring shows at the Academy in Selsey, however due to the fire earlier this year the venue is understandably not available.

Over its 50+ years SACOS has gained a reputation for putting on spectacular large scale full musical shows and it is felt by the committee that we could not do Oklahoma justice in any of the other venues available to us in Selsey.

SACOS however is pleased to welcome you to this year’s production, “Old Time Music Hall” where you find yourself transported back to the good old days of Music Hall.

We are delighted to be back at the Pavilion, which I am sure you will all agree is just the perfect venue for the show. SACOS performed its first ever show right here at the Pavilion in 1962.

This year sees a new Director, Lesley Lowy. This is Lesley’s first production for SACOS.No pressure there Lesley........

I would like to add a big thank you to all the cast, crew, front of house staff and everyone who has helped on this year’s production. Without you we would have never made it in time.

We are fortunate to have a very friendly society and new members are always welcome, in fact there are a few new members in this show. If you are interested in joining SACOS please call me for more information on 01243 276006.

That only leaves me to thank you for coming and supporting us and I hope you enjoy The Old Time Music Hall. Now get ready to clap and join in with tonight’s Cacophony of Entertainment.

PRODUCTION TEAMDirector - Lesley LowyTheatre has been part of Lesley’s life ever since she can remember – and that’s a long time!Starting as a child (as a small white pony dancing for the Queen Mother) through a professional career that saw her doing the rounds of repertory, panto, TV, summer seasons and tours, she was lucky enough to join the cast of the world- renowned Theatre Workshop, performing Oh What a Lovely War, directed by Joan Littlewood. She has also been lucky enough to have played many musical leading ladies but among her favourites are, My Fair Lady, Merry Widow, Annie Get Your Gun, Kiss me Kate, Camelot and Hello Dolly, before turning to directing and with her late husband Michael, forming their own theatre company, specialising in Old Time Music Hall. Having recently retired and moved to Selsey she is delighted to be working with SACOS and has welcomed the opportunity to make so many delightful new friends!
