Admission Requirements• Completed application and a sixty dollar

($60) non-refundable fee.• Official transcripts verifying bachelor’s,

master’s, post bachelor’s degree credits.• GPA of 3.25 or above (3.0 for SPED).

Admission Requirements• Current Teaching License

(Level 1 for M.Ed.; Level 2 for LEAD).• Verification of years of teaching

(2 years for M.Ed.; 3 years for LEAD).• Attend Orientation.• Admission Essay/LEAD Pre-Assessment.• Admission Committee Approval.

Purpose of Admission Essay• Sample of your writing as measure of

preparation to do graduate-level work.• Your essay will NOT disqualify you.• Plagiarism WILL disqualify you.• If you use other people’s thoughts,

words, and ideas, you MUST credit them by appropriately paraphrasing, quoting, and citing according to APA guidelines.

Admission Procedures • Submit all required documents.• Meet all requirements and attend Orientation.• Follow e-mailed instructions for Admission

on educational problem, collect and analyze data, write, defend, and publish your report.

Portfolio Option:• EDUC 6652 & EDUC 6932: Prepare portfolio

to demonstrate your achievement of National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.

7 of the 10 core courses: Up to 10 hours per core class, 70 hours possible.

• For out-of-state administrative students NOT earning a Utah license: It is YOUR responsibility to assure ALL courses meet your own state’s requirements.

you will be completing four (4) internships totaling 450 HOURS of administrative work.

• You will need some flexibility in your schedule, and you will need the support of your administrator.
