"At the core of nursing practice at Southern Athens Hospital is a profound respect for the dignity and
individuality for each patient. It is our belief that recovery and/or maintenance of health requires the
recognition of three human dimensions-mind, body, and spirit. These three dimensions are inseparable
and integral components of the whole person. At Southern Athens Hospital, the nurses seek to establish
connections with the whole person, in an effort to optimize both the patients inner resources and the
resources of the healthcare community"
Southern Athens Hospital acknowledges the role that a healthy and supportive work environment
plays in the ability of nurses to meet the challenges inherent in the art and science of nursing. We share
in the responsibility for creating and maintaining such an environment and in promoting professional
satisfaction."
