Option Sheet

These maps and tables show the two options developed

by the working group in a series of three meetings that

took place throughout the month of September 2011.

The maps show the existing boundaries shaded in solid

colors. The option change areas are denoted by a think

crosshatch in the color of the receiving school. They are

also called out by a label with a number that corre-

sponds to the description table below each map. This

table shows the number of current students in each

change area along with a description of the neighbor-

hoods within each area.

The table at the very bottom of each map shows the

current and resulting number of empty seats at each of

the schools along with its current and resulting utiliza-

tion. The district goal is to have every school at a utiliza-

tion between 85% and 105%.

The only difference between the two options are change

areas #7 and #8. In Option A, change area #7 moves

from Twin Lakes to Beauclerc and change area #8 stays

at Beauclerc. In Option B, change area #7 stays at Beau-

clerc, and change area #8 moves to Twin Lakes.

The table directly below shows the current number and

middle schools and high schools each elementary bound-

ary feeds into. It also shows how those feeders would

change, the resulting feeder changes are the same inboth options.
