Coaching for health and wellbeing
• Women’s Health has offered this service for 4 years and currently employs 2 staff who are qualified Life Coaches.
• The service is offered to all women and may be accessed by video conferencing via one of 10 Community Resource Centres
Health Education
• This service is offered as one to one appointments with a Nurse, talks to groups and WOW (Women on Wellness) days
• In September the Centre is running a WOW day and also a week of activities for women
Counselling- in Bunbury and some rural towns
• Counselling is offered in Bunbury and also to some rural towns through the Rural in Reach program
• It is offered one to one or via a secure video link
Activities - physical and lifestyle
• The centre runs a program called LIFE which enables women to spend 8 sessions exercising together and looking at their food choices.
• We have partnered with the Bunbury City to offer the Recharge program of healthy lifestyle to women in the community in including Aboriginal women.
Well Women’s Service including Pap Smears
• This service is conducted on a Monday in Bunbury in partnership with a supervising GP
• The centre uses an examination bed which is comfortable for women who have mobility or other health conditions
Workshops and Groups
• Yoga, walking over 50’s , Mums and Bubs walking, cycling, self defence and Zumba
• Relaxation and Mindfulness
Partnering and community event promotion
• The centre partnered with the Bunbury Runners Club to name the Womens Health Womens Fun Run for the second time
• The centre recently partnered with Country Health Services to organise the Big Pram Walk
After hours GP Helpline
A project delivered on behalf of South West WA Medicare Local to develop a tailored information pack to 5 target groups in three areas
