This monthly report summarises the numbers of notifiable conditions in residents living within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. Some rare

notifiable conditions are not reported here. For rare conditions that are reported, if the Public Health Unit receives less than three notifications in the

month, they are reported as “<3” for privacy reasons. Graphs are only provided for conditions when the vertical axis shows >15 notifications. A full

list of notifiable conditions is available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/phact/Documents/is6-disease-notification.pdf. Note infectious syphilis

notifications require public health follow-up which results in a reporting time lag of more than 6 weeks. Therefore the latest month will be

incomplete. The report is divided into the three geographical areas of Eastern (includes the Local Government Areas of Sydney, Botany Bay,

Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra), St George (includes the Local Government Areas of Hurstville, Kogarah and Rockdale) and the Sutherland Shire.
