1. Your tender for the above work has been accepted by the competent authority for
Rs 1,37,37,641/- (Rupees One Crore Thirty Seven Lakhs Thirty Seven Thousand Six
Hundred and Forty One Only) at the following rates:

Note: Rates quoted for Schedule C by other tenderer is less than the rates quoted by L1.
Hence, items under this schedules be operated cautiously to avoid vitiation.
2. The work should be completed within 12 Months from the date of issue of acceptance letter
and the work shall be maintained for a period of Nil months from the certified date of
completion of the work.
3. The amount of earnest money deposit of Rs 1,78,540/- paid online vide IREPS Ref Id
PE272025 / 0012471435 dt 10.06.17 has been adjusted as part amount of Security Deposit.
Balance Security Deposit of Rs 5,08,342/- will be recovered from the running bills at a rate of
10% till it reaches 5% of contract value.
4. Performance Guarantee (PG) for Rs 6,86,882/- have to be submitted within 30 (thirty) days
from the date of issue of acceptance letter (i.e., by 23.08.2017) valid up to the stipulated date
of completion plus 60 days. A penal interest of 15% per annum shall be charged for the
delay beyond 30 (thirty) days i.e., from 31st day from the date of issue of LOA. In case the
contractor fails to submit the requisite PG even after 60 days from the issue of LOA (i.e., by

22.09.2017), the contract shall be terminated duly forfeiting EMD and other dues, if any
payable against that contract. This P.G will be released after physical completion of work
based on the „Completion certificate‟ issued by the competent authority. You are requested
to attend this office along with P.G. for executing the contract agreement.
5. Until a formal agreement is executed, acceptance of the tender shall constitute a binding
contract between you and the administration.
6. The base period for calculation of Price Variation shall be from the month of opening of the
tender i.e., June, 2017.
7. The contract labour (Regulations and abolition Act, 1970) and rules, regulations and
amendments thereto that may be followed from time to time are binding on you in respect of
this contract. The work should not be executed without a valid labour license and a copy of
the same to be forwarded to this office for record.
8. Failure to start the work within 15 (Fifteen) days, the contractor is liable for penal action as
per clause 62 of the General Conditions of Contract.
9. Receipt of this letter may be acknowledged.

KM. 6. The average cushion of a
particular length of kilometre will
be arrived. By taking cushion at
every 100m intervals. Any
individual cushion measuring
more than 300mm will be recorded
as 300mm only for the purpose of
calculations. The cushion above
200mm will be cosidered.
However the average cushion in a
kilometre should be more than
250mm to be eligible for payment
in that kilometre. For cushion
between 200mm to 300mm
payment will be made as prorata
basis in that kilometre. 7).The
screening of ballast shall be done
using inclined screens made of
square mesh of specified size. Use
of wire basket shall not be
permitted. 8). The entire stone
ballast means the ballast available
on the track between toe of the
bank on either side and the ballast

from its top level to original
formation level. 9).In case existing
cushion(clean + cacked up)upto
original formation level is less
than 300mm the balance cushion
shall be made good by lifting the
track to predecided rail level. 10).
No extra payment shall be made
for lifting done to achieve
