WELCOME

The Adelaide Botanic Garden is located in the heart of Adelaide

and offers spectacular views in a picturesque setting. Wedding

ceremony sites are available throughout the garden, each with

their own unique characteristics.

Whether it is beautiful views of the Palm House Gardens or the

tranquil setting of the pond and Cycad Collection each site offers

the perfect backdrop for your romantic wedding ceremony

Create a truly unique surrounding with additional furniture and

theming that can be coordinated to suit your style and

preferences.

Experience the beautiful charm with a tailored cocktail party and

ceremony celebration for your guests that will be remembered

forever in this truly unique venue.

As wedding and event specialist our aim is to go beyond the

expectation of both the organisers and guests and have people

talking for days. The fact that around 90% of our event business

CEREMONY SITES

SUMMER HOUSE

The Summer House site can provide the opportunity to have either

an intimate undercover ceremony in the historic rotunda or on one

of the two the lawn areas. It has close proximity to the North

Terrace gates and amenities are within a short walk.

CYCAD COLLECTION

Nestled amongst the Cycads and under the shade of the Kauri Pine,

this lawn area gently slopes, allowing excellent vantage points for

your guests. Looking out across the Main Lake, this popular location

is close to the gates, amenities, restaurant and kiosk

PALM HOUSE LAWNS

The large lawn foreground to the heritage listed Palm House,

accommodates large wedding parties.

Located centrally within the gardens, the Palm House site is close to

public amenities, restaurant and kiosk.

BARBER SHOP

The Barber Shop is a small rotunda for intimate ceremonies.

Located at the end of the SA Water Mediterranean Garden are the

wisteria arbors which are ideal photography locations

INTERNATIONAL ROSE GARDEN

When in flower, the manicured rows of colour provide a

romantic setting in the International Rose Garden.

Located near gates and amenities, the lawn area can

accommodate large wedding parties or intimate gatherings.

ARAUCARIA AVENUE

The natural avenue created by the Araucaria (Hoop Pines)

provides a spectacular framing around your ceremony.

With a gentle slope, the site lends itself to a ceremony as well as

being able to take in a panoramic view across the gardens.

NORTHERN PALM GARDEN

Situated beside the picturesque First Creek. This location has a

magnificent tree lined lawns and beautiful backdrops for your

wedding ceremony.

Located near the Friends Gate on Plane Tree Drive, the site is

easily accessible and close to the restaurant and kiosk facilities

ECONOMIC GARDEN

A display of plants of economic importance including those

used for food, medicine, oils and dyes, as well as plants used in

religious and cultural ceremonies.

A beautiful manicured garden and wonderful backdrop of a

quaint fountain.

Menu substitutions may be made by Blanco Food & Events due to availability

OPENING HOURS

When considering you ceremony times, please note the

latest finishing time for your event is indicated below.

December/January 6.30pm

February/March/October/November 6:00pm

April/September 5:30pm

May/August 5:00pm

June/July 4:30pm

It is recommended that you book your wedding site 30

minutes prior to your ceremony commencing to allow for

set up and guests arrival.

Please note The Bicentennial Conservatory in the Adelaide

Botanic Garden is only available for wedding ceremonies

from April to September annually.

EXTENSION OF TIME

If you would like to extend past your two hour period, $150

per 30 minutes or part of, will apply. If additional labour for

organisation, set-up and breakdown is required, this may

attract service fees.

ADELAIDE BOTANIC GARDENS

The Botanic Garden is a public space which can have other

public and private events at the same time, therefore we ask

you and your guests to give consideration to other visitors.

We will post signage advising Garden visitors of your private

ceremony.

CEREMONY SITES

The Gardens offer nine wedding ceremonies sites which are

changed annually. Your ceremony location may be moved at

the discretion of Blanco Food & Events due to changes in

public safety or site preservation

THEMING AND DECORATIONS

Flowers or decorative items cannot be attached to any

structures, plants, or penetrate lawns due to underground

service, any additional equipment must be approved by venue

and event co-ordinator.

CATERING

Blanco Food and Events has exclusive catering rights at the

Adelaide Botanic Garden and we can provide a range of

catering to help make your ceremony memorable. The

Botanic Garden Restaurant, kiosk and cafe are ideal locations

for your guests to relax between your ceremony and

reception.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKINGS

Tentative bookings are held for 14 days. Bookings are

confirmed upon receipt of payment and completed

registration form.

CANCELLATIONS

In the event of a cancellation, full refunds are provided with

more than 12 months notice or closure of the Garden due to

extenuating circumstances as decided by the Adelaide

Botanic Gardens. 50% of the fee will be refunded for

cancellations made between 6 to 12 months notice. Less than

6 months, fees are non-refundable.

CLEANING

Please ensure that the site is left free of damage and litter.

Rose petals, rice and confetti are not permitted in the Garden.

Fines and charges will apply if cleaning is required.

MUSIC

No amplified music or loud music is permitted during opening

hours, without written approval from the Adelaide Botanic

Gardens.

LIQUOR LICENCE

Blanco Food and Events practises responsible service of

alcohol in accordance with The 1997 Liquor Licence Act. All

extended time and alcohol service is at the discretion of the

function supervisor.

VEHICLE ACCESS

The Adelaide Botanic Gardens,(South Australian

Government Department for Environment and Heritage)

has strict policies regarding vehicle access.

Wedding or private vehicles are not permitted into any of the

Garden. Please ensure your wedding car drivers are aware of

loading zone and parking regulations at the Garden,

particularly on Plane Tree Drive in Adelaide. Fines apply.

If you have deliveries for your reception, conditional access

may be granted during specific times. Discuss with the

Wedding Ceremony Coordinator your requirements as early

as possible as permits may be required.

COMPLIANCE & RESPONSIBILITY

It is understood that the organiser will conduct the function

in an orderly manner in full compliance with the Adelaide

Botanic Gardens, (Department for Environment and

Heritage) policies, regulations and with all laws, which are

amended from time to time. Blanco food and events will not

accept any responsibility for the damage or loss of

merchandise left prior to or after the ceremony. Organisers

should arrange their own insurance if necessary.

Blanco Food & Events applies the specific guidelines, policies

and procedures of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. By signing

the booking form you are accepting both terms and

conditions and the broader guidelines and policies of the

Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
