Project Title Against the Spin- A Data analysis on IPL
Centre Name B. P. Poddar Institute of Management & Technology, Kolkata.
Platform J2EE platform using ORACLE 10g as backend database.
Description This project is based on the concept of Data Analytics, where we have considered the Indian Premier League (IPL), a cricket tournament held on a yearly basis in India, as the subject of study. Scope of this project is from the year 2011 to 2015. This is an Online Dynamic Portal, where a
user can see all types of graphical and statistical analysis of the player and team statistics. Our target users of this project are – cricketers – like, batsmen and bowlers, cricket coaches, team owners or team managements
of IPL and the regular viewers - audience. The main significance of this portal is that, this portal provides the year-wise and overall Ranks of players to the user. In order to accomplish the rank calculation, we followed the ‘Principal Component Analysis’ algorithm. We used the R Software to analyze this rank mathematically using the Eigen-value and Eigen-vector concept with the PCM algorithm.
Role Big data filtering, Developed Backend, Designed UI and Prepared the Rank-Calculation using R software.
