Swimming Scheme Notes should be in for the following fortnight’s swimming scheme. If there are spare places available it will be offered to Yr1 students. The bus will leave at 11.45 and return to school 1.45 approx.

League Tag Gala Day Thankyou for all the notes that have been returned on time. A transport note will be sent home either today or tomorrow depending on outstanding permission notes. Students are reminded to bring a school hat and plenty of drinking water.

Year 6 The milkshake fundraiser was a huge success. Well done to all Yr6 students for their contributions. A note with dates and times for hall decoration for the Yr6 ball will be sent home shortly. Please do your best to make yourself available. A lunch order voucher for the K.M.H.S. orientation day went home last week. Please return if you intend to make use of their canteen.

Art Workshop Last Thursday we drove the Kariong High School to draw pictures for the transition story. We all drew art for our own chapter. Some students from other mountain schools also participated in drawing pictures for their chapter in the book. We’re not going to tell you about the story because we don’t want to spoil it. We all drew great pictures, the art teachers were stunned. By John, Elia and Kyle

Year 2/3

Homework this week is slightly different, everyone has a mixture of different Maths questions. The aim of this homework is to encourage students to read the question before answering. This is our last week of our spelling program, during week 9 and 10 we will be doing revision activities using the words we struggled on. Keep up the good work 2/3.

Year K/1

Yesterday, Lucy, Jamie and I travelled down to Erina Fair to decorate a Christmas tree with the pine cone decorations all of our students made. The tree looks AMAZING! The tree decorating competition is run by the Cancer Council and gives schools the opportunity to win book packs and other prizes for their schools. The public are asked to vote for their favourite tree and the school with the most votes wins the wonderful prizes. To place a vote, a gold coin donation is placed in a voting envelope with our schools name written on the front. The voting area is located near the trees at the Kmart end of Erina Fair. Please let all of your friends and family know about our tree and hopefully we can win some prizes.

Kindergarten 2014 Our gorgeous new kinders had their final visit today. They performed a very cute song at our mini assembly and received their orientation certificates. We are looking forward to seeing them every day next year. Thank you to the par-ents who also attended the parent information session.
