Media files need to be moved between multiple locations to be processed via the post production and quality review process . These media filea are not only very large in nature compared to other internet traffic, but usually need to be processed under a quick, short deadline. Transferring large files at high speeds is imperative.
FileCatalyst Direct is a file transfer solution that provides accelerated, secure, and reliable delivery of files within Scale Logic
Solution
Scale Logic (SLI) is integrating FileCatalyst solutions with their HyperFS Global File system, as well as their file level Scale-Out NAS Gateway product. FileCatalyst’s UDP-based accelerated file transfer protocol allows for the movement of large files at speeds of up to 10Gbps.
The SLI Genesis IAP archive server also serves as a FileCatalyst server in moving data to the HyperFS online production file system, reducing the hardware footprint for the facility.
