Overview

This  all  started  in  France  32  years  ago  when  an  idea  for  a  new  type  of  music  fes,val  arose:  a  fes,val  in  which  an  en,re  city  could  par,cipate.  Anything  would  become  a  stage:  storefronts,  rooXop,  parks  and  porches.  And  musicians  of  all  styles,  ages,  and  skill  levels  would  come  out  and  play  music  for  their  community  on  the  longest  day  of  the  year  (the  summer  sols,ce,  June  21st).      Fast  forward  the  clock  to  modern  day,  and  the  celebra,on  has  become  an  interna,onal  phenomenon.  Hundreds  of  millions  worldwide  celebrate  music    on  Just  21st    Berlin,  Beijing,  Mozambique,  Moscow  and  Rome  are  a  few  notable  ci,es  that  have  joined  (800  in  total).  Full  list  at:  onesols,ce.com/interna,onal-­‐map      Up  un,l  recently,  the  US  hadn’t  yet  joined  the  party.  But  thanks  to  a  technology  company  Headquartered  in  Aus,n  Texas  -­‐  Sols,ce  -­‐  the  fes,val  is  gaining    momentum.  Sols,ce  powers  the  events  in  New  York,  Los  Angeles,  Madison  WI,  Chicago,  Philadelphia,  and  many  more.

Citywide celebration DATE:    Saturday,  June  21st  (the  summer  sols,ce)  TIME:  10am-­‐  9pm  COST:  Free  TARGET  PARTICIPATES:.  The  en,re  music  community  (15,000  professional  musicians  plus  tens  of  thousands  amateur  musicians)    The  first  part  of  Sols,ce  Aus,n  is  the  celebra,on  of  the  musical  holiday.  Anyone  can  perform,  and  anyone  can  be  a  venue.  The  point  of  the  holiday  is  to  have  live  music  everywhere  around  the  city,  tradi,onal  and  non-­‐tradi,onal  venues:  store  fronts,  rooXops,  businesses,  parks,  porches,  you  name  it.      In  addi,on,  musicians  of  all  styles,  skill  levels,  and  ages  are  encouraged  to  fill  these  venues  with  their  musical  talents.  This  process  is  facilitated  by  the  Sols,ce  technology.    We  project  100k  in  aAendance  throughout  the  day  (based  on  sta,s,cs  from  our  event  in  New  York).

 When  the  downtown  spontaneous  celebra,on  concludes,  our  main  stage  is  just  gefng  started.  We’re  turning  the  beau,ful  Long  Center  -­‐  over  looking  downtown  Aus,n  -­‐  into  our  main  stage.  We’ll  have  a  few  level  A  Aus,n  bands  play,  and  a  headliner.  In  addi,on,  we’re  going  to  light  up  the  pillars  of  the  Long  Center  with  mapping  projec,on  technology.  We  an,cipate  10k  in  aAendance,  but  at  least  100k  throughout  the  day  (as  the  loca,on  is  in  a  high  traffic  area  in  Aus,n,  visible  from  just  about  anywhere  downtown).            *Main  stage  “presented  by”  sold  separately
