PRODUCT RANGE – SPRING/SUMMER 2012

2012 sees the release of several redesigned items in the Solo spring/summer range,

along with the introduction of an exciting new line of technical cycle clothing. We have

improved the fit, fabric, construction and functionality of some existing Solo products

such as the Gilet and Bib shorts, which now come under the Retro-tech range.

In addition, we have four brand new designs in the Classique jersey range. Both arm and

knee wamers have benefitted from design tweaks, as has the iconic Solo Équipe jersey.

Retro-tech is Solo’s new range of technical, race-fit clothing. It was developed in

response to the market demand for a more race oriented range of clothing. Retro-tech

combines timeless style with the latest technical fabrics and construction methods.

The garments are designed with 2 goals in mind: comfort and performance.

The Classique collection is a series of jerseys dedicated to the world’s great cycling nations. The jerseys are 100% Nuovotec

polyester incorporating MMTc4 technology resulting in a highly breathable and wickable garment. Great attention has been

given to the finer details that separate Solo jerseys from the bunch including: an 18cm front zip with over-size zipper pull for

gloved fingers. Customised silicon elastic waist band. A small rear zipped pocket (in addition to the standard 3 rear pockets)

Our aim when designing the Solo Équipe jersey was to create an iconic jersey

that will become a favourite piece of cycle clothing. A bold central contrast

stripe highlights the cool Solo logo created in flocking. On the back are two large

button-fastened pockets – true retro style. The knitted wrist and neck bands are

merino wool. A quality full-length reflective zip completes the jersey.

RETRO-TECH GILET

The Retro-tech Gilet will protect your torso from wind, showers and the cold. It features an improved fi t for 2012 with a

slimmer body and a longer back. It folds up extremely small for easy stowage. Mesh side panels aid ventilation.

The new soft membrane fabric and sealed zip ensure the gilet front is windproof and waterproof and refl ective Solo

Retro-tech bib shorts are designed for your longest days on the bike. Incorporating a top of the line chamois along with strategic use of compression

lycra and a superior fi t, Solo RT bib shorts are supremely comfortable. The ‘Road Performance Carbonium’ chamois from Cytech of Italy is the ultimate

long distance chamois. Strategic use of compression lycra offers muscle suport where it’s needed.

Road Performance Carbonium is Elastic Interface®’s natural response to the growing need for a specifi c road bike chamois specially engineered to meet the expectations of pro cyclists, who spend long hours on the saddle and need all the support they can get to gain ground. Ultra high density perineal inserts have been purposely engineered and tailored according to university research and placed in key pressure points for optimum performance when riding in the road bike position. Stop the rain getting in your eyes or protect your head from the sun, repel the cold or

mop up the sweat. The cotton Solo retro cap is the perfect simple cycling casquette.

Constructed from heavy black cotton drill, the traditional musette is the perfect urban

cycling accessory. The Solo logo appears on one side while the reverse features an

abbreviated version of the famous Solo gear-inch chart. Now you can settle once and for

all which is the bigger gear: 42 x 15 or 48 x 17. We’ve also included a petersham loop for

clipping on a light.

SOLO ARMWARMERS AND KNEEWARMERS

Solo armwarmers and kneewarmers have been completely redesigned for 2012. They are now made from Super Roubaix fabric for

improved fit. The Solo logos are now a white reflective print and there is also a refelective pip on the back of each armwarmer and

kneewarmer. The refined multi-panel construction, flat-lock stitching and new gripper elastic means these are amongst the most

comfortable warmers on the market.
