MORE YIELD
The recent implemented anti-reflection coating
optimizes the light absorption and leads to higher
module efficiencies and higher yield, just as further
improvements of the temperature coefficient to
-0.37% / K.
COMPLETELY BLACK APPEARANCE
The choice of black components results in an
entirely black module, which makes our new series
especially suitable for sophisticated visual
applications.
HIGHER RELIABILITY Optimized processes and module components lead
to a more stable and reliable module. Additionally
the panels are approved for a snow load up to 5400
Pa and can thus be used for an even larger number
of applications and locations.
PRODUCT ADVANTAGES
MORE YIELD
MORE AESTHETICS
HIGHER RELIABILITY

PRODUCT ADVANTAGES
BEST PERFORMANCE UNDER CHALLENGING
CONDITIONS
Numerous reference systems in a wide range of
different climatic conditions proving superbly
performance of our modules even under critical
climatic conditions
OUTSTANDING TEMPERATURE RESPONSE
Delivering top performance even at very high
temperatures
Output of modules generally decreases as the
temperature increases crucial factor for yield,
particularly at maximum insolation
Temperature coefficient Solibro modules:
-0.37 % / K ( PMPP) long way ahead of
crystalline competitors:
-0.41 to -0.49 % / K, PMPP (standard)

THE OPTIMISED TEMPERATURE BEHAVIOUR GUARANTEES RELIABLE YIELDS IN HOT
WEATHER OR WITH INCREASED MODULE TEMPERATURES.
Module temperatures easily exceed the standard test temperature of 25°C and result in power losses
at higher temperatures. With a temperature coefficient of - 0.37 % / K (PMPP) Solibro´s panels reduce
the losses to a minimum.

INSTALLING THE BACK CONTACT
The back contact of the solar module consists of a molybdenum
coating applied to the substrate glass using cathode sputtering.
SOLIBRO PRODUCTION - FRONT END
CIGS COATING
A layer of copper, indium, gallium and selenium is applied as a
light absorber using a co-evaporation technique. A buffer layer is
then deposited via a chemical bath.
PATTERNING 1
The molybdenum coating is divided into 150 cells.
SOLIBRO COMPANY PRESENTATION – REV06 | JUNE 2016 51
TCO
A conductive overlay of zinc oxide is applied as a front contact
using cathode sputtering.
SOLIBRO PRODUCTION - FRONT END
PATTERNING 3 AND 4
A third structuring process is needed to firstly interconnect the
150 cells. In order to maintain Solibro’s high reliability standards
while continuously increasing the module power, the active area
of the module is divided into different segments by a fourth
scribing operation.
PATTERNING 2
Further structuring is needed to interconnect the 150 cells.

SOLIBRO PRODUCTION - BACK END
DRILLING / SEAMING
Contact holes are drilled so that the contact strip can
subsequently be routed to the back.
EDGE SEALING / CONTACTING
The edges of the glass are sealed with butyl tape and two
contact strips are installed.
EDGE ABLATION
The coated substrate glass now takes on its final form. It is
subjected to a downstream two-stage edge ablation process.
SOLIBRO COMPANY PRESENTATION – REV06 | JUNE 2016 54
SOLIBRO PRODUCTION - BACK END
CONTACT HOLES / JUNCTION BOX
The contact holes are sealed and then the junction box is
mounted.
LAMINATION
All components are laminated together and then cooled for the
subsequent process steps.
MARRIAGE
The front glass, substrate glass and EVA film are "married" to
each other.

SOLIBRO PRODUCTION - BACK END
PACKAGING / FINAL INSPECTION
After labeling and a final inspection the Solibro modules are
ready for packaging and to be sent to our customers.
FRAMING / HIGH VOLTAGE TESTER (OPTIONAL)
A part of the produced laminates is framed by one of our fully
automated production tools and quality tested by a high voltage
inspection afterwards.
HIGH VOLTAGE TESTER / SOLAR SIMULATOR
The electrical insulation of the finished modules is tested using
a high voltage tester. The solar simulator deter-mines the output
of the modules.
