General Description

AGLAIA is the result of a large amount of R&D on the part of her very experienced original owner, and collaboration between RobHumphreys, Goss Challenges and Hamble Yacht Services.  The aim was to construct a safe, fast, comfortable cruising yacht using thevery best of modern technology.  This aim has been achieved. In September 2005 as OCEAN PHOENIX II she completed a voyage which had taken her from the UK to the Caribbean, then to Auckland,New Zealand via Panama and across the Pacific. From there she went to the Barrier Reef, Darwin, Cape Town South Africa, Horta andback to the UK. Subsequently she was sailed to the Med to Palma, from where she was sold in December 2005. During all this time she was superbly maintained and refitted as necessary.  This yacht had been sailed many miles by her husband andwife owners alone (no crew) and is very easily handled.  Yet when desired she can also accommodate 6 guests plus two crew in superbcomfort. The new owners have continued to enjoy this fine yacht sailing her to The Caribbean, USA and in the Med.  She spent the winter 2009-2010in the south of France and in the Spring of 2010 was moved to Palma. Here she had a new topsides repaint in a darker blue finish (whichlooks superb!) and other upgrades. Throughout the current ownership AGLAIA has benefitted from being well maintained by the samecaptain.
