Introduction
• The District contracted with REC Solar in November 2017 utilizing a Power Purchase Agreement for the design, installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems
• A summary of the final system capacities and system types at each site is provided below

• Design work for the systems began in February 2018, and kicked‐off with two community meetings to share project information and receive community feedback.
• The District identified and engaged key stakeholders at each site for information sharing and feedback until construction began in June 2018.

Construction Progress Update
• Site mobilization and construction for the shade structure systems began in the beginning of June and progress has been steady through the summer.
• Rooftop systems are still under review by DSA with an anticipated construction start date of the end of September.
• Below is a summary of scheduled substantial completion dates for the shade structures at each site. Substantial completion represents all major systems installed and complete less final commissioning.

Educational Benefits: The solar energy systems will serve as a learning laboratory students. Working with City of Palo Alto Utilities and REC Solar, we will have K‐12 supplemental curriculum on the subject of solar energy available for teachers to share with their students.
Student and Staff Comfort Benefits: The solar energy systems will serve as shade structures in parking lots and athletic play fields.
