What is PFT - Precision Fit Technology?
In short, PFT involves taking everything into consideration when designing and manufacturing TOKO gloves with meticulous care. Here are some examples:
• The palms on TOKO gloves and mitts are laser cut. Die cut palms vary in size. Laser cut palms yield a more consistent sizing.
• TOKO Gloves are engineered to have an anatomical fit. This means they don’t just fit a static hand, but rather are built to be skied in with optimal warmth and protection while still maintaining feel and dexterity. Selection of raw materials and interaction with the grip and strap and the curve of the hand are carefully taken into account when designing TOKO gloves and mitts. The end result is more comfort and reduced hand fatigue.
• Several TOKO models have different features and constructions. For example, some have tapered finger tips and some have external seams. Our goal is to develop the perfect glove for each condition or purpose.
• TOKO gloves come in sizes 5-12. This is a lot of sizes! The finer increments give opportunity for a skier to find a glove that fits exactly as desired. Also, the smaller sizes are designed to fit a woman’s hand. They are cut proportionately narrower than the larger sizes gloves. A glove needs to “fit like a glove” - for everybody!
We hope you enjoy the new Toko hats. They are a blend of technical and knitted hats using materials and weights suited for Nordic skiing.
We have two interesting new bags. The Coaches Bag is an insulated and water resistant bag that is perfect for transporting and protecting electronics, food or feeds, and paperwork. This bag also has a compartment for waxes and tools. The Start Duffel is the perfect bag for a competitor to bring to a race. It can be carried as a backpack or as a duffel. The Start Duffel also has an extra internal wet bag for isolation of wet post race clothes.
