Modern work practise challenges people to collaborate in more and different ways, but furniture dictates how a room is used - preventing the space from being flexible. What if furniture didn’t restrict the ways a space was used, but allowed many different activities?

This simple question sparked The Elements.

Arrow + Diamond + Pie

The Elements are three simple shapes - the Arrow, the Diamond and the Pie, in two heights. They are solid, soft and easily moveable, and with a touch of imagination you combine and re-combine them to transform spaces - then later that day re-transform them!

Traditonally these pieces might be called ottomans, but the word doesn’t begin to describe how these simple building blocks work. We believe The Elements are unique - the first of a new category of furniture that we’ve called ‘Softscape’.

Solid enough not to move when you are using them, mobile enough to shift around at will - The Elements are as intuitive as children’s blocks and as much fun as well. The simple shapes are realised with absolutely no distracting details. The taller height functions as seatback, table, and high stool. We’ve carefully designed shape, size, height and foam density to provide optimum comfort and utility, and they come upholstered in the users’ choice of fabrics. The elemental shapes - arrow, diamond, pie - are timeless, pleasing and reminiscent of childhood puzzles and games. This playfulness belies their incredible flexibility and the power of transformation they give to any workspace.

This flexibility means you don’t have to adapt yourself to the office layout. In a few quick moments you can adapt the layout to your needs: an impromptu presentation, a brainstorm, a five person meeting, a two person tete-a-tete, four groups of three scattered around the room… To see a group of The Elements together immediately inspires you to imagine other shapes and combinations, purposes and groupings… Like a puzzle with a thousand possible solutions.

Nothing could be more ergonomic than a space that you can instantly customise in a fun and comfortable way. Pull up a chair, slide together a table, grab yourself a desk, assemble a small audience - The Elements are collaboration in action, the building blocks of a new sort of office life.
