    tional slipped-stitch heel.

    Yo can work these socks

    on doble-pointed or

    circlar needles.

    The design o these socks evokes the structure o eathers,

    with sleek vanes and prominent quills coming together in

    the classic interlocking arrangement. Twisted-stitch ribbing

    alternates with stockinette to create a three-dimensional

    design, and two dierent methods o decreasing taper the

    eathers. Let your fngers y though this addictive pattern!

    Bring the yarn to the front between the

    needle tips, over the top of the needle,

    and to the back, ready to knit the next

    stitch (Fig 1).

    After a Knit, Before a Purl

    Bring the yarn to the front between

    needle tips, over the top of the needle,

    Bring the yarn over the right-hand needle
