The Social Register of Las Vegas is extremely proud and honored to be celebrating our 20th anniversary this year. The Social Register’s team would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every Member and Corporate Sponsor for making this possible through your tremendous support and participation.

We are overwhelmed and very grateful for your fantastic support, pride and excitement that the Society Magazine has achieved. Our goal is to produce quality content, events and marketing materials for our diverse audience of entrepreneurs and senior executives. Society Magazine’s team will be interviewing key CEO’s to discover how they made it to the top and offer their advice on how other leaders can do the same. By delivering this valuable insight, advice and strategy, we help business leaders take their organizations to the top and, just as important, stay there. Our team and I would like to thank everyone who participated in the production of this issue of our Society Magazine, especially our incredible advertisers for their generous support and our members for their insightful contributing articles. SRLV understands that one of the biggest challenges business owners have today is getting in front of the decision makers. For the past 20 years we have been honored to play a part in helping our members take their businesses to a higher level by expanding their networking, advertising, marketing, promotions and branding capabilities. Plus reaching out, supporting and educating our members on the numerous needs of our local charities in our community.

Brenna McClellan is the President of CSS Nevada which specializes in entity formation, business services, and Asset Protection Programs. When Brenna started her career she had no idea that she would end up in a job helping people protect their assets from intrusion by unwanted third party predators.

"I started out working for Albertsons in their corporate division. I fully expected that I would spend my life as a corporate administrator. I had no idea what changes were in store for me.”

In 2005 a friend of the family invited Brenna to join a company that worked with owners to form entities for their business activities. The Company, CS Nevada, employed a small contingency of people who specialized in the various areas of entity formation for corporations, LLC's, Limited Partnerships, Living Trusts and Land Trusts.

"When I started in this business I did not realize how complicated ownership issues could be," Brenna said. "Forming a company in most States looks so easy when you can go on a State Web Site and just make a few clicks, pay a small filing fee and, voila, you have a corporate entity. There are a lot of companies out there who perform these basic services for people and charge very nominal fees. But, basically, all they are doing is a relatively simple task that anyone can do with minimal training and coaching. I found out early that there is no simple way to form and maintain a valid, legal business entity that serves as a fortress for its owners to protect them from personal liability and lawsuits.”

Earlier this year the major shareholder of CSS NEVADA decided that it was time to plan for the future of the business. CEO, Alan Russell, employed a consulting group who worked with him to form and implement a plan of succession for the Company. One of the first steps in that plan involved engaging a new President and Brenna was selected as the person most suited to take on that role.

I never expected to take the reins of this Company, Brenna noted. There's a lot more to running the whole company than handling sales. My primary concern is to strengthen the legacy which Alan Russell has established for the business:

Ÿ Maintaining high standards of integrity and competency for our clients;

Ÿ Making sure that their interests are our highest priority;

Ÿ Ensuring that their entities meet the highest standards for validity and competency possible.

I am very proud of our reputation in this community and I intend to work hard to continue to meet those high standards of excellence.

Beyond The Neon…Benefitting Homeless Teens of Southern NevadaMEDIA Coverage: Darlene Mea: [email protected]

For the community of Las Vegas, from the community beyond the neon, benefitting the Homeless Teens of Southern Nevada and the StartUp Foundation; LightShineEvents presents our 2nd Annual Winter Celebration & EXPO, Beyond the Neon! Two full days filled with authentically inspired musicians, artisans, holistic healing arts, inspiring presenters, a treasure hunt, a silent auction and entertainment from Vegas' diverse local artists and performers.

Our Homeless Teens: Child and family homelessness is an escalating crisis. Countless numbers of teens become displaced from their families due to life style choices here in the entertainment capital of the world. Accurate data is difficult to obtain and validate due to the transitional and often "invisible" nature of the population. LightShineEvents.com shares the donations from this event with Homeless Teens of Southern Nevada and StartUPLasVegas.org Foundation. ~ Please bring a contribution of gloves, scarves, socks and head warmers. There is a $5+ donation for the Homeless Teens of Southern Nevada - http://www.lightshineevents.com/lv-teens/ The Start UP Foundation is a 501-C3 organization working with entrepreneurial artist getting started in the industry of entertainment arts. The Start UP Foundation (StartUpLasVegas.org) is donating time, equipment and talent to this community event and is co-creating the evening extravaganza, 'Beyond the Neon' with LightShineEvents.
