• The study trips have given the participants energy and motivation to work with service matters. They generated enthusiasm in a comprehensive network of actors from national, regional, programme and local level. They helped local people to dare and shape services for their communities.

• Communality and co-operation between individuals are key elements of social innovation.

• Deserve networks allowed for creation of new bridges between existent networks in different countries – KBS networks

• Delivery of social services as provided by pilot projects has the certain characteristics of social innovation as it generates new customs and procedures, new relations of co-operation and new ways of working (see Oksa & all 2003)
