Social Media RoundupIntroduction In May, Facebook announced a few new features that allow Facebook admins tohave a little more control over their Facebook Pages. Facebook Page admins can now schedule posts. Page post scheduling allowsadmins to schedule Page posts up to 6 months in advance, and as frequently asevery 15 minutes. Facebook also introduced new admin permissions. Admin permissions allowsPage managers to designate different permission levels to other admins on yourPage. 4. Social Media RoundupScheduling Facebook posts Page post schedulingallows you to schedule yourPage posts up to 6 monthsin advance by clicking onthe clock icon in the lowerleft of the status box. Keep in mind, schedulingposts is convenient andhelps during nights andweekends, but dont forgetto review comments onscheduled posts once youreturn to the Page.Scheduling posts does notTo schedule a post, click on the clockreduce the importance oficon at the bottom left of your status box.engagement. 5. Third party applications like Hootsuite andTweetDeck are still acceptable schedulingoptions, but unlike services like Hootsuiteand TweetDeck, scheduling on Facebookallows you to tag organizations in yourposts. Tagging other Pages is important andadds context to your Facebook posts. Also, its important to note that if otherorganizations share your content on aHootsuite post, it doesnt link back to yourPage. 7. Social Media RoundupAdmin permissions Facebooks new adminTo change admin permissions allows you topermissions, clickdesignate different permissionon edit Page, thenselect manage levels to other admins on yourpermissions.
