Ford FiestaThis is Now Social Media Campaign
as part of the overall Fiesta This is Now European activity
a pan-European social media campaign encouraging the public to submit their own definition of ‘now’ to the This is Now Flickr
group
to activate it, we outreached to hundreds of influential bloggers from across Europe
starting with marketing bloggers to get the news out
then within the art, design, photography, fashion, film and music communities
we used a blog to highlight and encourage contributions
we used both a Twitter account and a Facebook page to extend the conversation
we’ve also given bloggersthe opportunity to share their vision of
‘now’ by guest editing the blog
of course, this meant the bloggers also told their own audience about their
contributions
and, as a result
50 guest bloggers have contributed to the blog
150 blog posts have been published about the campaign, with an estimated reach of
1,050,000 people all over Europe
40,000 images and videoshave been submitted to the Flickr group
making it the second biggest sponsored group on Flickr
and now the Fiesta has been recognised as an icon of ‘now’ itself
winning the red dot award: the largest and most renowned design competition in the
world
