Social networking is the grouping of

individuals into specific groups, like

small rural communities or a

neighborhood subdivision.

When it comes to online social

networking, websites are commonly

used. These websites are known as

social sites. Social networking

websites function like an online

community of internet users.

The phrase social networking come into

MoSoSo (mobile social software)

is a class of mobile applications which

scope is to support social interaction

among interconnected mobile users.

The basic idea of a MoSoSo is to overlay a

location and time element to the idea of

digital networking.

It enables users to

find one another, in

a particular vicinity

and time, for social

or business

networking.

Developing a new medium for social

networking is not a easy job.

There are many problems and risk that are

associated in creation and developing a new

medium for social network

Another problem is

what sociologists

call homophily , or a

preference for people

with the same tastes.

This leads to

homogeneous networks

and to

cyberbalkanization ,

The splinternet (also referred to

as cyberbalkanization) is a characterization

of the Internet as dividing due to various

factors, such as technology, commerce,

politics, nationalism, religion, and interests.

Finally, there are the social freeloaders ,

who use social media but don't contribute.

Internet social networks are great places to meet and network with people sharing similar business interests. But Web sites can also pose serious security threats to users and their companies.

Many businesses view social networking sites as a kind of online cocktail party -- a friendly, comfortable place where one can establish contacts, find buyers or sellers, and raise a personal or corporate profile.
