events and holidays.
Meetings held on the 4th Wednesday of the month after
7.30pm for people affected by arthritis or similar problems.
Altrincham Probus Club

Meetings held at The Jubilee Centre, The Firs, Bowdon
WA14 2TQ. Meetings held on Fridays at 10.00am to
promote fellowship and stimulate interest through talks by
invited speakers, discussions and activities in a wide
variety of subjects by club members and others. The group
is open to retired or partially retired professional men and
businessmen.
Trinity Hale Church—The Guild

Embroiders Guild

share techniques, and have outings to places and shows of
interest.
Members can also participate in exhibitions throughout the
year. The group meets on the second Wednesday of the

Davyhulme Park Bowling Club

help group for education and enlightenment. They offer a
range of forums, interest groups, visits and lunches.
Golden Hill Ladies Club

Meetings held in the summer at Golden Hill Park Bowling
Green, Park North Road, Urmston in the afternoons,
Monday to Friday. In the winter meetings are held at
Hartford Community Centre, Canterbury Road, Davyhulme
M41 0RX on Thursdays at 1.30pm.
The group meets for bowling in the summer and whist
drives in the winter.
Cascade Social Group

Cascade arranges social and leisure activities for single
people over 35, including dinner/dances, walks, weekends
away, holidays and more. It brings together people who
rarely get out, for socialising, talks, meals, entertainment
and outings. The meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday
of each month from 2.00pm-4.00pm.
Brooklands Gardening Society

and allotments. Activities include annual shows, occasional

Sale Arts Society

activity.

exclusively for, and by, retired people of all ages. They

throughout the week at various venues. Morning sessions
are normally run from 10.00am to 12.00pm and afternoon
sessions are normally 2.00pm to 4.00pm.

This is a social group for people who have had a stroke. It
meets on the second Thursday of every month 10.00am-
2.00pm in Flixton. As well as giving people the opportunity
to socialise, they run an exercise group and art class. They
provide a lunch for which there is a small charge. They
also provide transport.
