Introduction Anshu Gupta from New Delhi popuraly known as “Clothing Man”

Studied Journalism Advertising and Public relation from Indian Institute of Mass Communication.

In 1998 he left Escorts as manager, to work full time on his idea

He is inspired by his mother, who is a role model for him.

Impact At a scale of 3 million pieces of clothes a year, it

costs only 97 paisa per piece for collecting, cleaning, sorting and transporting.

Deals with over 50 tonnes of material dispatch every month.

First and largest responder during floods in Bihar, Odisha cyclone and in Uttarakhand.

Now Goonj is operating in 21 states of India with over 40,000 kgs of material being processed every month.
