So, Tell Me What's Compassion?

What's empathy? Compassion in my experience, giving them a bit of your heart is showing kindnessand love toward others, and asking for nothing back in return. I'm blessed to work with clients aswell as their families regular, and to disperse compassion to those who mightn't receive it otherwise,or frequently.

I recently had the chance to go to a customer who was in Boca Raton, Florida who was recoveringfrom a broken hip in a rehabilitation center.

I reacted.

We spoke for over one hour about her ideas on her therapy, the facility's food, for after she returnedhome, and her plans. As I was leaving, she gave me a huge hug and said, "I 'm so happy you came tosee me!"

It made me feel really good that I could show kindness and her love. It made a big impact with her,although stopping by to see was such a little act from me.

We consider that empathy makes all of the difference. You'll find various methods to show empathyand they may be as easy as calling to check on someone who we know is sick, or by seeing with himor her if they have been in the hospital. Revealing compassion can also not be as difficult as findingthe time to actually listen to others. We get so caught up in attempting to "fix" everything, whenoften times, people only need a person to listen to them, know that they are heard, and that theirfeelings are validated.

I encourage us all to be the definition of compassion also to demonstrate kindness and love towardeveryone you meet.
