So, Tell Me What's Compassion?

What's empathy? Empathy to me, giving them a bit of your heart is showing love and kindnesstoward others, and asking for nothing back in return. I'm blessed to work with their families as wellas clients regular, and also to disperse compassion to those who might not receive it otherwise, orregularly.

I recently had the opportunity to see with a customer who had been in Boca Raton, Florida who wasrecuperating from a broken hip.

as soon as I walked in the area, her eyes lit up and she said, "What are you really doing here?"

I reacted.

We spoke for over an hour about her thoughts on her therapy, the food of the facility, for after shereturned home, and her plans.

It made me feel really good that I could reveal kindness and her love. Stopping by to see was such alittle act from me, but it made a huge impact with her.

We consider that empathy makes all the difference. You can find numerous ways to show empathyplus they are able to be as easy as calling to check on someone who we know is ill, or by seeing withhim or her if they're in the hospital. Revealing empathy can be as easy as making the effort toactually listen to others. We get so trapped in attempting to "fix" everything, when often times, people just want a person to listen to them, understand that they are heard, and that their feelingsare validated.

I encourage us all to be the definition of empathy also to demonstrate kindness and love towardeveryone you meet.
