So, Help Me Understand What is Compassion?

What's empathy? Empathy in my experience, asking for nothing back in return, giving them a bit ofyour heart, and is showing love and kindness toward others. I'm blessed to distribute compassion tothose who might not receive it otherwise, and to work with their families as well as clients everyday,or regularly.

I recently had the chance to visit a client who was in Boca Raton, Florida who was recuperating froma broken hip in a rehabilitation center. I went to visit her to check to see how she was feeling, and Ilikewise desired to be sure that she understood that I had been thinking of her.

Once I walked in the space, her eyes lit up and she said, "What have you been doing here?"

"I came to see you because I care about you, and I would like to see the way you might be feeling." Ireacted.

We talked for over an hour about her thoughts on her therapy, the facility's food, and her plans forafter she returned home.

It made me feel really great that I possibly could show kindness and her love. Stopping by to see wassuch a little action from me, but it made a big impact with her.

We consider that compassion makes all the difference. You'll find lots of methods to showcompassion plus they are able to be as easy as calling to check on someone who we know is sick, orby seeing with him or her if they have been in the hospital. Showing empathy may also be as simpleas taking time to really listen to others. We get so trapped in trying to "fix" everything, when oftentimes, people only want a person to listen to them, know they are heard, and that their feelings arevalidated.

I challenge us all to be the definition of compassion and also to show kindness and love towardeveryone you meet.
